Dione Warwick made a living off of Burt Bacharach. Jerry Wexler was a music producer who coined the phrase "rhythm and blues". He was one of the most highly regarded A&R men highly regarded for his work with Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles. The point is why the black or white separation? Both the Stylistics and Simply Red are great artist who blow this song away! Just as Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton play smoking blues as does B.B. King and Buddy Guy. I just see and hear great artist :-)
