I don't know how to use these brush pens. Can you blend, smudge and overlap? are these lightfast & acidfree? I work with pens normally if I used these together will it work? ..mmm?
@dishy200 They're not the best pens for blending, although if you use heavier paper (like watercolor) you may be able to achieve that effect as well if you layer it fast enough. Impossible to smudge, not the best for overlapping either. Other than that they are waterproof, lightfast and acid-free. Don't work well on normal (printer) paper. Hope this helps.
It's nice of artists to take time from their own lives and show us how products can be used and share information with us. If you are too rude to appreciate that please keep your rude comments to yourself so the rest of us can enjoy learning. Please!
Shame on those who have posted such rude remarks. For a short clip, the presenter covered the topic perfectly. Thank you for the video, and I found it very helpful.
What amazing horrible camera work. When the water wasn't in his way, his hand was. Perhaps this could be redone so that the markers are actually shown. Just a thought.
I don't know, the Faber Castell markers I used to have dried out pretty quickly. Maybe because I had a different type? But these seem to be fairly good quality.
i thought this pens are waterproof?! when i put some water on a finished picture, is it then waterproof? i want to buy this pens instead of the expensive copic markers, i think, this pens are as good as the copics. what do you think?
how much are these markers in Germany because here I paid 16.00 for 5 of them...are they cheaper there. I have a sister who lives there she may can get me a whole set if it is cheaper....
Us art people are just so weird sometimes. Take his awesome mustache for example.

The black pen looks horrible. It doesn't show up as dark as India ink.

The artist says you can use these as a sketch on canvas under paint -- but what kind of paint? Acrylic, watercolour, oil?

I love these pens. I recently started experimenting with the black artist pens and have had good results so far.
