I was single when I went and made some of the best friends of my life. I understand its tough for you married folks, but its what you make out of it.
On one bus tour up a mountain we got lost walking down, my buddies and I had to walk through villages trying to get back. What a experience. 89/90 Do they still call the new guys Green Beans? Manny Crash Rescue
heres an idea berzekr03 go get a life nd a family and then tell me how you feel u fucking douschebag...o yea you liked it because you were the loser hanging out here with the fuckin juicy's every night and wearing your douschbaggery ass jersey like you were cool....like i said find someone who loves you and then come talk to me you fucking loser.....and believe me i wish you could come back too.
I was at Kunsan in 1975. I grew to love it and now it is my favorite memory out of the 4 Air Force years. I was young and single and it was a great place to be.
My husband left for Korea in August too...it is hard on both of us, but at least now it is half over! Good luck to you and your family! BTW what squadron are you in? You probably know my hubby!
I was there from 05-06. Some advice, don't count the days if you're anxious to get outa there and travel. Visit the different places. Atleast go to the DMZ. I didn't do any of those things and now I regret it. Luckily Im going back in august but this time it'll be osan. Have fun cuz you might not have that opportunity again.
Dude, your tour is way over now but...You needed to get a hold of yourself. Korea was the shit, you should have taken full advantage of it. I find myself now missing the hell out of my Korea days.
I think I'm going to go to Korea so that get a follow-on assignment to Okinawa. It is such a gamble. Volunteer for 1 year away from the family for a chance for your dream assignment and six years of living on a tropical island. If I'm selected for Kunsan, I'm going to make the best of it. I'll try to see all the cultural sites, see what kind of shopping I can do, and make some cool friends with some locals. I'm going to avoid the bar scene at all costs.
