Game sucks: Reason: Xbox 360. Dark messiah on the PC is so much better, they fucked it up for 360. PC version was one of the best games of all time. Most of the features were removed in the xbox version, and many of the levels shortened or removed.

@TheBioBeast for what i know is that xbox is named "Elements" after might and magic, the 360 version has multiplayer and you choose a class in the begging of the game which auto selects what you can use and what you cant use, and on the other hand the pc version you can mix them up so you can be a warrior/spellcaster and so on... and the 360 version has more spells.

you misunderstand the game engine, the game engine is a compilation of the items inside and is the source of creating a level, like a complicated editor, you cant really put it into oblivion since a man cant breed with a horse and get a centaur out of it.

actually i got the mix thing but i didnt get the quantitys of the blend, i mean, DMMM is a source engine and the whole combat thing can be added to oblivion without messing with the engine which just is a rough binary coding for the game itself, plus on another side the fighting styles are better in DMMM ;D the kicking and the ragdolling and the telekinesis and firballing them, so i'd pick the freeroam and the weapon and armor arcenary from oblivion and the fighting and skills from DMMM :D

Yup the fighting in dark messiah is alot better than figthing in oblion plus the ragdoll in oblivoin sux because it looks like things fall in slow motion.

It would take some scripting (cant remember if its that) to set dark messiah figthing into oblivon and also the codes needs to be translated to fit the oblivion engine. think it is really difficult to do. your right about the ragdoll, dark messiah ragdoll is better than the slowmo shit ragdoll in oblivion.

Well I think it's because the gaming industry just ted to hate re-makes of a game that was originally bad. :S Either that or they just find it a little repetetive.

I would say it's an average game but nothing else really; not bad but not that great either.

Ive played oblivion alot but always get booring of the fighting system after some time, Ive played through the dark messiah campaign about 10times because of the gameplay but it would all last for years if they would have combined these two great games to one(and perhaps with an multiplayer option)

Now this game is by no means perfect, but it is fun to me. the interactive environments is a nice touch and the edge it has on oblivion is the combat(beleive it or not this games combat is great) but it's not like obon in the questing tho wich is a downfall and why ppl don't like it but reguardless for $10 it was worth it to pick it up

I would say Oblivion because of the freedom of traveling wherever you want in the world of cyrodiil, compared to Dark Messiah where you just travel where the quests take you. Also, in Oblivion you can train in the arts of alchemy, and all skills, and you can join organizations. So I preffer oblivion. Definitly.

why would u compare Story based role playing Dark Messiah with RP Oblivion? two different games...I like Dark messiah despite everything because its much more entertaining and fun to play. Oblivion also fun but it takes lots of exploration and quests - which I eventually found boring. Sry to all Oblivion fans. By the way I love Gothic sequences as well. just do.

Oblivion was a huge disappointment. It tried to be a great RPG, but failed because of the stupid level scaling and other shit. Dark Messiah is great at what it does: awesome combat action, and that's all there is to it. And it's fun. It's a way better game than Oblivion, because it does everything right that it tries to do, while Oblivion tries to be too much at once and fails at it.
