  • Hi, is this a physical therapy that is ok also for achilles tendon rupture or just for achilles tendon inflamation? Thanks a lot for the vids anyways!

  • thx a million

  • Nice buch of Videos!

  • guys can anyone tell me how long it takes to heal up perfectly

  • @Maniboy440 i have this injury right now and it sucks bc i have football scrimmage tomorrow :( but ive had this injury before alot of times and it usually takes about 2 -4 days

  • @YoBassMaster you sure you have achilles problems and youre not just sore? cause achilles is something that takes longer than 2-4 days for sure

  • @hazardroll1 well at that time when i wasnt healed i thought it was just sore like it always was before. but ya i did have injure it im not sure if i pulled it or strained it or idk but it took about 3 and a half weeks to heal

  • @YoBassMaster you said earlier it took 2-4 days. which is it

  • @hazardroll1 it tooks 3 and a half weeks

  • @Maniboy440 Well I've had it for over a month, you might wanna get some anti-inflammatory gel/tablets if you don't have some already.

  • it hurts sista i cant do itq

  • WHAT?!

  • it hurts to do that for mee

  • My tendon was cut before. Anyone can help me my other foot now is look skinnier what I'm going to do?

  • thanks

  • io have always had problems with my Achilles tendons i have ruptuerd and torn both my tendos to a point where i cant ware shoes with stiff backs and i have to ave a spunge heel thing to stop the pain

  • Physical therapy promotes body strength, and prevent future physical injury.

  • Can't see anything only the writing.

  • im a 24, up and coming athlete who went from 305 to 235 last year and just started a series of bombastic exercises a few months back. i cant do any of the jumping or running i need to get to the next level in my training due to and achilies tendon problem in both legs. i havent been to the doctor on account of no insurence but its mostly just a sore/burning feeling that i get. are there any FREE rehabs that i can do to get back on track with my workout?

  • Sounds like tendonitis. Rest, along with some hot water soaks works for me. Definetly got to rest for at least a week. Hope that helps a litte. Good Luck.

  • You should go to a fysiotherapist ;)

  • @jsamboy you should go to the emergency room or hospital & apply for charity,I got that for my surgery & physical therapy classes.

  • u should use hot and cold therapy; google it,,, u should also check out achilles inferno wrap:D GOT THE SAME PROBLEM AS YOU:o

  • @jsamboy spend some money on physio now will save a lot in future if you happen to rupture then, i would refrain from running altogether to be safe, as you could not afford to be out of work for 6 months

  • I play rqtball and I finished PT in January after 3 months with a prescription to continue calf and shin stretches with excellent results until June when the pain returned - I started playing much harder. I dnk what to do now.

  • i dont know why

but i love achillies tendon pain

i like to press my knuckle into it

    the pain feels GOOD.

  • lol i know that sounds wierd but i know exactly what you mean, it's because it's a relieving type of pain not a uncomfortable type. like when you receive a massage on a painful part of muscle or something.

  • you're exactly right lol

  • See if you like the pain in a few years time. Maybe even months...

  • hmm...so far i still do...thank u

  • or physio therapist as we call them

  • hi...thanks for posting this video....i have a sir....when do u start putting weight on your injured achilles tendon? i have this injury 3 weeks ago and i'm still scared to put any weight on it....thanks

  • Weight Bearing comes from your PC. IF he never gave you any precautions then usually in PT i have told patients to ease their way into Weight Bearing.. You can use Taping methods, bracing.... Good to be cautious, but need to start weight bearing! hope this helps!?

  • how do you know if you have tendonitis or if you ruptured your tendon?

  • has anyone ruptured theirs?

i did to mine about 2 weeks ago, i got surgery at the end of the month...what am i expecting here?

  • I have just raptured my Achilles (OUCH!). Watching these exercises are preparing me for the long road ahead. Thank you very much for posting this.

  • I'm 60 and play over 35 soccer. The club physio gave up on me and told me to stop playing. I found these exercises and massage techniques simple and effective. Thanks very much

  • Cross friction massaging can actually make your achilles worse if you have achilles tendonitis

  • tnx monica

  • I'm so afraid of my achilles tendon. I injured it about 3 years ago and I still have trouble walking in bare feet and I'm only 19. Exercises really helped to make it strong again though! I feel for anyone that actually ruptured theirs.

  • I injured my anchilles tendon about 1 year ago. I'm 17 now, and the pain is killing me. How did you managed to relieve the pain?

  • Sorry to hear that but I never ruptured mine so I'd imagine the pain differential is of a completely different order for you and I. Of course, I went to an orthopaedic doctor who suggested some anti-inflammatory drugs and exercises which really helped. But the pain I experienced was a mere nuisance at best.

  • Oh, mine isn't ruptured. I only have tendonitis. My doctor too suggested anti-inflammatory pills, but its still painful as ever. What sort of exercises did your doctor recommend?

  • Jeez I don't know why I assumed you ruptured yours lol. Simple calf stretches is what he recommended for me as well as walking on an inclined treadmill (However, I never did these). But I did the calf stretches which really helped strengthen the calf and tendons. I did like 10 repetitions twice or three times a day for each leg. But, maybe our cases are different. You should listen to your doctor first.

  • Haha, thanks.

  • I have the same problemes...I can't wear shoes with heels anymore...(1-2cm is great), but too low or too high makes it worse. =(

  • I tore my Achilles tendon recently and this stuff is very useful! Thanks!!

  • painful patella tendon> advise!

  • this is great thanx!

  • The audio level when Monica speaks is too low. It needs to go up a couple of notches. Otherwise, the video was worth watching.
