  • I love my FakeTV!!! No more commercials!!

  • A 19" led tv would use less energy than this and look more realistic. Sure it costs more but also has a practical purpose as well, it's a real tv! This is useless

  • @AboveMiddleC1977 The FakeTV uses less than 3 watts of power. A 19" LED tv uses about 20 W and looks no more realistic than the FakeTV, unless you're actually watching a program. So, you're statement about the FakeTV being useless is actually useless.

  • now china makes another device for burglar to detect whether is it a fake tv or real one?

  • I dont need it. I watch porn all night.

  • I supply modified Fake TV's, which includes a build-in Wifi notification so that thiefs know when it's switched off, so they know you're really at home :P

  • ...or you could just buy i real tv and leave it on...

  • @krysalaine waste of electricity & energy.

  • "This guy DEFINITELY has a TV, let's rape this house!"

  • @sybo59 Who DOESN'T have a TV?

  • @plixplop - I don't.

  • I am going to say a couple dobermens are a much better deterent haha They cost a little more but big dogs that will attack will make most burglars find an easier target.

  • Personally I always check to see if there is noise accompanying the TV flicker. I know tha many people fall asleep with the TV on.

  • dont you think this is a little bright..or maybe they will look inside and see it...or watch you house and notice this "tv" is on a timer???

  • I'm going to have to agree with what

    bjgryskie commented.

It seems like a good idea. Leaving your TV or radio on just wastes power.

  • I have one of these products and can safely say that from the outside it looks like the TV on and therefore, someone is home.

  • Transatlantic refrigerator and TV psychic. LMAO!

  • Just leave the real TV on.

  • err twat. the whole purpose is to save the energy and fire risk of leaving the tv on.

  • My TV is a fire risk and this Chinese POS isn't? Yeah right. I'm not that worried about energy as I don't have one of those crappy new TVs and this thing looks like a fire risk.

  • they run on less than 3w or something. tiny little LED lights that don't even get hot. compare that to leaving on any LCD tv or plasma. you complete goon.

  • Uh Dorkfish I am more worried about low gauge wiring than Watts or Temp. Most of the things that cause a Ford to catch fire use Less than 3W too and they are still a fire hazard. Low gauge wiring. China usually sends whatever over.

LCD gets hot means it's a fire hazard? Damn, Better not drive my car any more. The engine gets hot. Better call wal-mart and sears tell them to turn off those 100s TVs at thousands of locations that have been on for months.

    Is your refrigerator running?

  • you're still a twat. it's fully certified, just like your refrigerator (which, incidentally, was also made in the Far East) and the unit is sold by many eletrical retailers in the US. No doubt you think they all wish to sell sub standard chinese products? the whole purpose is that it protects your home against burglary and is less expensive to run than a tv or normal house light . the eco argument for this device is valid or do u think low energy light bulbs are a waste of time too? Twat.

  • @scottjp31 And you are a FAke TV Wanker.

  • My Fridge is American. What kind of twat doesn't know they once lasted for decades? Mine is still going. Now they are POS. I know, I sold them. 2 grand for a Chinese POS only to have the customers come back bitch it hums so loud they cannot sleep. Asking happened to these companies?

Thx for telling me all about my fridge though and my TV, dumbass. Another clueless Internet idiot telling strangers about their stuff. Tell me about my dishwasher.

    Use a radio.

    Better go catch your refrigerator.

  • listen luddite, i'll try to explain it again. the whole purpose of the FakeTV is to provide a proactive burglary deterrent. It provides the illusion of a real tv to the outside world but it runs on a fraction of the energy cost. there is NO fire risk. that's why i responded to your original comment. of a radio is alternative but in my mind it's less of a deterrent.

  • I'd rather that you continue to tell me where my refrigerator came from than Fake TV. Come on Lemming tell me about my car.

The whole refrigerator running thing was a joke and you still better go catch yours.

Another clueless Internet idiot telling strangers about their stuff. I am suppose to listen to someone that makes stuff up? Ok your a cyborg made by Bosch and you don't even know it. Fake TV, more like fake youtuber.

  • the clueless idiot is you for saying that you'd rather leave your tv on, re your original comment. hence my criticism. how the fuck and why would i care where you buy your tat from? it was in response to your sweeping generalisation about chinese goods, when a) this is made in Malaysia under an American design and patent and b) half the electrical shit in this world including probably most of the components in your fridge and US car is made in the Far East

  • also re the 'hilarious cyborg comment' above, it should have been 'you are cyborg' and not 'your a cyborg' - American education you can't beat it. TWAT!

  • Or leave your tv on?

  • Why not just leave the radio on? That's what I do when I don't want someone breaking in.

On the other hand, I don't have anything worth stealing anyway. :P

  • I like the fact it simulates real HIGH DEFINITION television like the luminescent glow is more superiour over standard television glow *toss toss*

  • Lol yeah.

  • From the FakeTV website:

"Environmentally friendly. FakeTV consumes fifty times less power than a real TV"

That's why you wouldn't use a real TV. Plus, real TV dims over time, so you would be saving more that electricity, you would be saving your TV as well.

  • why not just leave on a real tv? that thing seems like it takes a lot of electricity itself anyways

  • fake tv's are more fun to watch too

  • I just replaced my real TV with a fake TV! :D

  • did Sarah Palin do the voice-over?

  • @bcg1610

no but she is dumb enough to get one

  • ...or you could just use a real TV.

  • Hahahaha that's great! I'm going to have to buy one of these, too

  • I'll buy 1 :D
