Any Womans Blues is not here by the way. Just Mistreatin Daddy and Frosty Mornin Blues. ..oh well....Ive wanted to hear Frosty Mornin for a long time. I have the Bessie sets but.....just dont feel like findin em ( ive recently moved)

Somebody made a reference to the tragic circumstances of Bessie's death. It was, indeed tragic that she died so young and so violently (a car accident), but the old story of her having been turned away by a white hospital is not true. This is not to say that she might not have been refused admittance, but the fact is that she was taken directly to a black hospital in Clarksdale, Mississippi, never regaining consciousness.

Sep 26 1937 The Empress of the Blues, Bessie Smith, sustains grave injuries in a traffic accident on US Highway 61. She is taken to a colored hospital in Clarksdale, Mississippi and her arm amputated. Smith dies later that day from blood loss. According to legend, Bessie had been refused treatment by a closer, whites-only hospital.

okay i just realized...now that im sober....THIS IS ALL WRONG AND "any woman's blues" IS NOT HERE! The 2nd song is "Frosty Morning Blues"! wtf? Its still Bessie and its still good of course but Cmon! Get it right ffs. LOVE it anyway tho!

This is the wrong title of the song. This isnt Any Woman's Blues. This is Mistreatin Daddy...or Mistreatin Blues....man i 4get!! I have the box set but i doont remember now. But its all gravy.
