the DADT actually provided the first step toward equality, it prevented asking about orientation in the first place, which had been grounds for immediate dismissal under less than honorable conditions, asking that it not be openly displayed either. With the repeal, we have now moved beyond the need to hide, another step toward being accepted equally regardless of race, gender, orientation, religion. So yes I'm happy that we have reached this state of human equality. Thanks
