The govt isn't meant to be mommy and daddy. If people want health insurance, they should work and pay for it with their own money. What is so hard for you to understand about the fallacy of the "Option"
When your employer is taxed & you are taxed for your plan, then why would people stay on those plans?
Once a large percentage drop their private plans, rates will be driven up which will force everyone else to drop or be dropped.
Medicare started out as an option & now it has 97% of that market.
Everybody knows that Medicare is broke & when the Baby Boomers enroll, it will break Medicare's back.
