And before I got my SUV, I had an '06 GT chipped w/ a Stage 2 D-1SC Procharger in it, and it was running 490 to the rear wheels on 8lbs of boost. I got rid of it because it was too expensive to maintenance. $60+ full synthetic oil changes every 1,500 miles and 93+ octane fuel required with the supercharger adds up quickly. Plus I needed an SUV to pull a trailer and my bike when needed. I went from a 4.6L V8 to a 4.7L V8 :P

the 426 is a hemi. although the 427 was built mainly for nascar. so there were just enough used in street cars so they could be used on the track. the biggest prodution block offered by ford was the 460 but the 429 took its popularity. and the 429 was brought out in 69 to compete with the 426 hemi once again for nascar.. and the 69 429 was called a Semi Hemi, because of the heads. and yes the 454 is a chevy only motor.
yes there is such thing as a 454W it is based on the 351W and it is stroked and poked used for racing and it can be pushed al the way to 460 cid, the actual 454 is a gm engine and it is not a hemi

B y 2011 the base GT will have a new 5.0 in it. Ford has also built a new 5.7 that will be competing in Nascar very soon. Both of these are brand new engines. While it is certain that the 5.0 will make it into the mustang, nobody knows if this 5.7 will. Maybe there will be a 5.7 liter Shelby in the near future, but I doubt Ford would place such a large motor under the mustang GT's hood any time soon. But who knows? Bigger motors have graced the stang before!

It is old news now though that Ford has completed a brand new motor, a 5.0, and we all know it's the real deal because Brenda Priddy and Co. have snatched a photo of it in a mustang (there are pictures of this new 5.0 sitting in a mustang all over the net now). So check it out, google "coyote 5.0 pictures" and you'll find it. The 5.7 may not make it into a stang, but who knows?

it already has the 5.7L. The 5.4 engine is from the Cobra, Roush, and Mach1. The 5.0 is originally the GT, but just a better engine and u have to order it custom made.
The 5.0 you speak of is the old 5.0, which was really a 4.9 (304 ci). If you read my post carefully, you would realize I am talking about a totally new engine, that is not available to the public right now. As far as the 5.7 you speak of, that, too, is different from the one I wrote about. Again, this one is new. They are making it for NASCAR to compete with the 5.6 Toyota is running in NASCAR. For mustang, the only SE trim that will definitely see a 5.4 currently is the GT500.

the famous hemi was a 426 ...( correct me if im wrong) but i think the biggest production ford block was a 429 there arent a lot of them so idk if they classify the "production" blocks if not its prolly the 427...454 is a chevy motor idk if anyone else built 1

the 426 is a hemi. although the 427 was built mainly for nascar. so there were just enough used in street cars so they could be used on the track. the biggest prodution block offered by ford was the 460 but the 429 took its popularity. and the 429 was brought out in 69 to compete with the 426 hemi once again for nascar.. and the 69 429 was called a Semi Hemi, because of the heads. and yes the 454 is a chevy only motor.

yes there is such thing as a 454W it is based on the 351W and it is stroked and poked used for racing and it can be pushed al the way to 460 cid, the actual 454 is a gm engine and it is not a hemi

see these mustangs are nice and all but the power you get with major modifications the block is just useless go get an old fox body and drop a 454 Windsor and stroke it out to a 557 twin 81 mm turbo but ii that's what i would do if i had the money but another option is a used 194-2004 mustangs those are cool to but overall these new mustang rules running the quarter mile at 13.79 in mustang magazine

B y 2011 the base GT will have a new 5.0 in it. Ford has also built a new 5.7 that will be competing in Nascar very soon. Both of these are brand new engines. While it is certain that the 5.0 will make it into the mustang, nobody knows if this 5.7 will. Maybe there will be a 5.7 liter Shelby in the near future, but I doubt Ford would place such a large motor under the mustang GT's hood any time soon. But who knows? Bigger motors have graced the stang before!

It has been a rumor for a very long time, and yes, the old rumor was that it would be in the 2010 mustang. It is old news now though that Ford has completed a brand new motor, a 5.0, and we all know it's the real deal because Brenda Priddy and Co. have snatched a photo of it in a mustang (there are pictures of this new 5.0 sitting in a mustang all over the net now). So check it out, google "coyote 5.0 pictures" and you'll find it. The 5.7 may not make it into a stang, but who knows?

it already has the 5.7L. The 5.4 engine is from the Cobra, Roush, and Mach1. The 5.0 is originally the GT, but just a better engine and u have to order it custom made.

The 5.0 you speak of is the old 5.0, which was really a 4.9 (304 ci). If you read my post carefully, you would realize I am talking about a totally new engine, that is not available to the public right now. As far as the 5.7 you speak of, that, too, is different from the one I wrote about. Again, this one is new. They are making it for NASCAR to compete with the 5.6 Toyota is running in NASCAR. For mustang, the only SE trim that will definitely see a 5.4 currently is the GT500.

dude are u just making stuff up? lol the roush uses the standard 4.6 3 valve and just added the supercharger and the mach 1 used the 4.6 dohc previously found in the 96-01 cobras. Ford has NO 5.7 liter v8 in any of their vehicles, not even in their trucks. The only NEW production mustangs that have a 5.0 are the saleen ones- which is just a 3 valve 4.6 stroked to 5 liters. No idea what you're talking about....

roush does suspension and ecm work along with the s/c and for wat they do i think they make decent power.i have 1,and the dohc went till 04 the last it was in was the termi...and also saleen does make the 5.0 but the basic S281 is just a 4.6 and the S302 Extreame is the 5.0
