  • iam now 25 and love my hip hop, but 10years ago i was a little pop punk boy, still LOVE this tune, brings bk so many memories

  • Yeah I loved this song, and it's still good. It's just so like upfront. But, I dunno...kinda like the Ataris, NFG just wasn't as catchy anymore to me afterwhile. Well the newer stuff coming out.

I still think "Nothing Gold Can Stay" is fantastic, but....

  • TY coatul!!! didnt think i would be able to find this. xD

  • I <3 NFG. ;)

  • Check out Dashboard Confessional's cover of this song, they covered two of NFG's songs and NFG covered two of DC's and put them on an ep called Swiss Army Bromance.

  • That's what she said.

  • @d4rkarch0n lol thats what i said when i heard that lol

  • GO CORAL SPRINGS!!!!!

  • It's a shame i'm JUST getting into NFG. these guys are awesome.

  • @Barnestormer211 I KNOW , same here .

  • this was the band i lovedd freshman year lol dam im 21 now

  • where the hell is second to last!!!!! song

  • Whiny-ass bullshit band.

  • @colico14

YEAH i saw ur band on myspace

and just letting u know, nfg is SOO much better so u cant talk

  • Comment removed

  • @WolvusMan Ok.You got me. They are better. What was I thinking? Shame on me.

  • @colico14 youre' the whiny ass. lol

everyones entitled to an opinion, but nfg are legends all over the place. and no ones even heard of youre' bumhole band.... jog on!

  • @DotKae That just smacks of pure hyperbolic nonsense. This generic band's music is effectively calculated to appeal to low-taste, musically uneducated listeners, who find it easily digestible and satisfying. Although the arts are by nature subjective, any musicologist worth his or her salt can clearly discern between that which is of high-quality and that which is not.

  • @colico14

Man... I know that was two weeks ago, but I gotta say...

And I'm not trying to be disrespectful...

But if you're taking music that seriously, you should just take a step back and chill.

Sure, we like it cause it's easy to digest. It's fun. It's catchy. It's good.

I'm sure plenty of us (myself included) like plenty of unique and "hard to digest" music.

  • @Copidat I'm a critic. I criticize things. Good night.

  • @colico14 Oh I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sounds of how awesome this song is. What was that now?

  • @ChrisB659 Oh, nothing; just some offhand commentary on how this band gargles goat balls and happens to be worse than Hitler clubbing a baby seal...no matter.

  • @colico14 lolumad? Have you made any "hard to digest" musical compositions? I think not.

  • @ChrisB659 This song is about as awesome as having a talk with your mom about your period.

  • @colico14 Yet you still haven't written shit, have you? The problem with most critics, not much unlike you, is that they're dispensable. They criticize other people's work, which yes I do realize is their job, yet most of them have no talent what so ever.

  • @ChrisB659 I don't feel any particular desire to prove myself to anyone, however that doesn't negate the fact that most of your assertion is demonstrably false and moreover, utterly sophomoric. You know little about me. I hope you wise up.

  • @DotKae You're the bumhole.

  • that's what she said xD

  • i remeber this, when i was like 5

  • amazing just heard it

  • lol i just saw the movie better off dead and thought of this song... brings back memories of the golden days

  • you're such a cunt for cutting the beginning and end

  • u guys should check out the band transmit now doing a cover of this here on you tube

  • i guess i would be called a new fan of them. Sticks and stones came out when i was in 6th grade, but i still prefer this older shit to the newer! i was born in the wrong decade :(

  • Is this cd old and nostalgic enough for me to re-rock NOW and not look like a tween?? lol

  • <3333 im seeing them oct 22nd in upstate NY..so excited!

  • oh yeah, I really like this kind of music. It´s new for me but i liked it the first moment i heard it.

  • when i was young i used to skate while listening to this album a lot, it was great. i didn't really understand what the lyrics meant at the time but they've always stuck with me. now that i've experienced the, "theme" i guess you can say of their songs, everything clicks now and makes 100% sense.

great band, i prefer the old stuff over the new stuff though

  • Same here dude, i love the older stuff

  • old stuff has that mysterious undertone of teenage innocence and more notable the classy, catchy tunes.

  • @Kozlen everything before Catalyst was golden

  • fuck i love NFG.. i think angels and airwaves and new found are the only 2 bands that can make you so happy and so sad at the same time... so many good tracks..

THE LAST LINE IS CUT OFF BUT!!! : (

awesome post can you please put up "situations" off their best of? no one else has they are all covers etc

    one love

  • I have situations on my channel :)

  • gehts besser?!

    ich glaub eher nicht :)

  • plagiarizing propagandhi

  • howso? the rhythm?

  • high school punk

  • I find it funny how some songs everyone has all these memories for, and others it's just 'OMG I love this song!'. This holds memories for me too though...ah Middle School.

  • I don't think this song is even 10 years old bud.

  • yeah, youre probably right, was it '02? fuckin feels a decade though

  • I think '01 actually. Maybe 2002 though. Thats a good question actually.. haha

  • it came out in 2000, i was a sophomore in highschool..good year

  • September 26, 2000 AD. Certified "Gold" by the RIAA on June 24, 2003 AD.

  • .. that's what she said x)

  • i like this song :)

    lol.

  • Whothefxklsaudrey.....while it is possible that this was named after the movie (being that the movie was a hit when the band members were kids) the phrase better off dead is very common...so it's possible that they are just using it as a figure of speech rather than a movie reference.

  • ...Also correct.

  • love this band i saw them tour with paromore

  • i remember this songgg(=

their old stuff really was amazingg.

    this reminds me of memoriess.

  • me too bro, me too... Those were the gud days eating french fries in the lunch room during 4th period.
