I just listened to Robert Marlow's album called The Peter Pan Effect (also featuring the synth work of Vince Clarke and Eric Radcliff), and there is a song on there called Claudette which sounds EXTREMELY similar to this. Very good song. I recommend it if you like this.

I had a depressing morning so I picked up my PSP and began playing GTA.

In the process of trying to speed away from army tanks and police officers this song started to play.

I knew if I got hit by a tank I'd die and I won't be able to hear rest of the song. I managed to stay alive til the very end.... and then I came here.

Wrong. I came here because I remember the song very well from my childhood. Flashbulb memory of hearing it playing it on the radio while I was on a boating holiday on the Thames in 1983. 28 years should seem like a long time ago, but it doesn't seem very long at all.
