  • Paul McBass

  • @2012ondeckyadig George HarrisLeadguitar - And the best member of the beatles - on

  • so before it's time. imagine if they started the album this way.

  • listen to the Anthology albums or out-takes where Ringo gets to cut loose a little, he is a fabulous drummer

  • this rocks

  • The thing I love about this is they really dig in and play their asses off. Short but great.

  • Did anyone heard "really dead" at 1:10?

  • I just saw Rain yesterday, they played this, they sound EXACTLY like The Beatles!

  • I listened to the whole "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album for thousand of times and watched the Let's Play of the SNES game "EarthBound" for thousand of times, but only realized the beat in this song was sampled in the game just about a week ago! LOL

  • GREAT beat!

  • I love this song.

  • What an incredible piece of music. Still gives me chills after more than 40 years!

  • Sick beats bro.

  • they were young and from Liverpool - the drummer was called Ringo - the next song is day in the life

  • @samuelramsbottom You honestly think how can you beat this stonking rock and roll but you can with a Day in the Life. THEY ARE THE GREATEST BAND EVER NO DOUBT!

  • MEGATON WALK

  • TIMELESS GENIUS!

  • Early Rap

  • I love that drum beat 0:05 to 0:13!

  • FREE REPLAY BUTTON! [0:00] :)

  • Sounds like Rockafeller Skank

  • "Sgt. Peppers lonely hearts.....(Paul is dead)...hearts...(really dead)"

IT WAS A FAKE MOUSTACHE lol!!!

  • this song is WAY AHEAD OF ITS TIME......HATS OFF to the GODS..!!

  • Im drumming this for a school show!!

  • ONE M0:00RE TIME BITCH!!

  • Why weren't these bits longer?

  • Paul and Ringo kick ass on this.

  • I love how the beginning of this is the end of "Good Morning Good Morning", the preceding track on the album.

  • ManILOVETHIS!!

  • Has anyone ever heard of the imposter of paul macartney if you do know PM me or if you wanna know PM me

  • how come the back cover at 1:06 have a different track listing? does anyone know what version that is?

  • @8down10 I think it's a tribute CD or something, since the band's called "The Alternative Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."

  • 0:13 - 0:17 amazing song!

  • blowing my fucking mind

  • Me being a beatlemaniac, I am ashamed that I don't own this song, I don't even have all of srgt. peppers! ah!

I definitely need to check out more Beatles songs. To the music store! *whoosh*

  • @jaderoseofchaos The color of the submarine is purely coincidental!

  • @jaderoseofchaos Which song?

  • I like this version more than the starter, its more interesting. Love the intro too...

  • The first Rap song YEAH!

  • ...ehcatsuom ekaf a saw ti rats elpplA

  • @BilJacobson Theyre? Its only paul saying 1 2 3 4

  • How anyone can say Ringo's a crap drummer after listening to this is beyond me.

The intro at the start is like dying and hearing Valhalla calling.

  • @gruad999 I know seriously! Also the same with A Day in the Life, I think. I mean it's not "holy shit this guy is amazing!", but that song would definitely be hard to drum to, but he made it work 100%

  • @gruad999 Because its not Ringo on this, they hired a different drummer for the album.

  • @bayshiel No, this was Ringo on the album....

  • i was in a play Called The Beatles Slept here

  • george says aye at 0:04

  • @MexicanChamp1000 I thought it was John saying bye

  • @GrisGrisOnUrDoorStep ikr. George and John sound very similar

  • @MexicanChamp1000 its john and he says "bye"

  • @MexicanChamp1000 Wrong, it's John saying "Bye".

  • @MexicanChamp1000 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POINTING THAT OUT. LOLLL

  • @MexicanChamp1000 No. It's Lennon jokingly interjecting "Bye" into Paul's countdown. :P

  • @MexicanChamp1000 that was john lennon jokingly saying "bye" :)

  • @MexicanChamp1000 That's Lennon, bro.

  • And I always imagined him saying, "five!"

  • Lisen! 1:05 "Paul is Dead; really, really dead" Put All attention Seacrh This song in wikipedia O.o

  • @AGOGO590 You sir are a Fucktard

  • @AGOGO590 All I can hear is "Really Dead".

  • @AGOGO590 wtf is wrong with you that is a stupid thing that freaks says

  • The twee beginning of the Album metamorphoses into the Brutal full stream of power like the Red Army taking back Russia from the Nazis.

  • Sounds like a rap beat, pretty cool for 67

  • @88mphsss

Yes, Ringoes backbeat, he used it since 1962 in various forms. Here it's heavily compressed, which helps give it that modern kick/snare sound.

  • @metafis sounds like something that would be sampled in a remix on whatever you call those radio stations that play all the modern music stations that play the cool mixtape mix stuff on Fridays and Saturdays.

  • @88mphsss the first big record with eletronic music

  • @88mphsss Yep, it has been used for one. The Dust Brothers sampled this song (from 0:05-0:12) as well of a sample from The Beatles' The End from Abbey Road in the Beastie Boys track Sounds of Science off their album Paul's Boutique (1989). I hated Paul's Boutique but love Sounds of Science (a) because it's just a fun song, and (b) because I recognized both samples as soon as I heard them.

  • @88mphsss Dickhead. Wrong year, wrong genre.

  • @CARASSAR what the fuck are you talking about

  • @CARASSAR Um... this was definitely released in 1967, and @88mphsss was saying that this was progressive for its time, not that this is a rap song, so I'm not sure what you're on about.

  • @chemchick19 hey thanks for backing me up!!!!

  • @88mphsss NO!!!! the rap beat SOUND LIKE THIS!!!

  • @88mphsss they were a lot of steps beyond the rest of musicians,,,they were GENIOUS,,, no other group could do that ever,,,

  • @88mphsss Pretty cool for any fucking year and don't you forget it.

  • @c4r50n1 never will. this song isn't one of those pieces of art that become outdated with time. i swear without the Beatles music would never sound like it does now.

  • @88mphsss We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Yo!

  • earthbound

  • Back when wearing pink wasn't a gay thing.

  • john was the power behind the beatles

  • @rocko2yu That is not the words of a true Beatles fan!

  • @rocko2yu The Beatles were the power behind the Beatles.

  • sounds like hip hop

  • @eduardo0796

i am the walrus sounds hip hop

  • @Multi567 6 people are nao

  • haha. One, two, three(five), four

  • Funny, but when folks discuss the Beatles they NEVER mention just how 'heavy' that opening guitar is on this very track. Muddy and aggressive at the same time. Makes me think - like 'Helter Skelter' and the intro to 'Revolution' - that these four guys could have sounded just as dirty and as nasty as Cream if they had just limited themselves to guitar, guitar, bass and drums for one album.

No worries. Long live the Fab4.

  • :04 i love when john says "Bye!"

  • @TheDaymanvsnightman Actually, George said that.

  • @high1234100 it sounds a lot like John, so one could be forgiven for thinking it was.

  • The GREATEST band on planet Earth! EVER!!!

  • @matthewme23 not just earth

  • Happy 44th anniversary for the release of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band!

  • Dungeon Man in the intro!

  • AMAZING!! I LOVE THIS GUYS, LOVED THIS SONG!! THEY WERE BRILLIANT!!

  • Paul: 1, 2 -

    John: Bye! :D

    Paul: ... 3, 4!

  • Beatles=legend

  • sounds like a hip hop song

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! THERES NOT 1:18!!!!!!

  • Hahahhaha. This version makes me imagine them snorting coke with dilated eyes while they composed this reprise.

  • gotta love ringo and his best beat ever

  • could this be more amazing?

  • This sounds like some hit from the 90's, The Beatles were so ahead of their time!

  • The first punk song ever record lol

  • @Hill177 No. DEFINITELY not.

  • Un, deux, trois, quatre!

  • @popcorn76104 its "one and only lonely hearts club band"

  • i love this, this is what got me hooked for life on THE BEATles.

  • Well done, thank you - Gut gemacht, danke!

I have included your video for explanations at harigeorgeson [dot] com - the best of George and the Beatles you might haven't known yet....

Ich habe Dein Video zur Erläuterung auf harigeorgeson [dot] com verwendet - das Beste von George und den Beatles, das ihr vielleicht noch nicht kennt...

  • I always did like the 'reprise' better.

  • @theirishinc Me too especially when immediately followed by A Day In The Life.

  • @Multi567 Actually 4 are blue meanies (well actually the four people were idiots and couldnt apreciate real music or they were bieber fans or or they pressed dislike by mistake) XD

  • at 0:17 pauls mustache looks fake

  • these are the men who made the 1st ever metal song Helter Skelter

  • I want Ringo's Sgt. Pepper drumkit

  • Hip hop beats were first made here.

  • The amazingness of the Beatles is one thing.

But the way this song sounds is extraordinary, it really does sound like it was recorded yesterday.

  • SPLHCB in its original version is nice, but this reprise is awesome!

  • keith richards, mick jagger, and bob dylan disliked this

  • @Dubickimus Mybe Keith Richards, but doubt Bob & Mick would....

  • @Dubickimus jealousy

  • @Dubickimus no they didnt because they are awesome

  • beginning is like dungeon mans theme!

  • If you listen really carefully with a left ear phone when Paul says "one, two, three, four..." you can hear John say "hiiiiiiiiii" in a funny voice.

  • @mSophiam he actually says "bye", but yes haha it is a funny

  • @mSophiam I found that out on my CD this weekend, wehen I first played it!

  • Great ! The Beatles forever!

  • This song needs exactly 19 670 601 views.

  • @Multi567 Let's throw angry Bulldogs at'em.

  • I don't know which one I like better, the original or the reprise.

  • This sounds like the roots of rap to me.

  • @txdeditor I'm guessing this has probably been sampled a few times.

  • @txdeditor Maybe there's some connection there.

  • WOoooAh! 0:20-0:21

  • john had his hand in his pants!!!

  • "Bye!"

    :O

  • Sue me. This is the best song on the album.

  • no are 3 blues meanies jajaja

  • This is the moment when Rock 'n Roll took over the world. Now I'm afraid for everything, it was all such a long time ago. But I remember this unforgettable moment. Hey, it was a gas, wasn't it?

  • @Multi567 Lol !

  • I like this more than Sgt. Pepper's 1.0.

  • @sammieboo11 LOL, he does!

  • SUPERLATIVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It WASN'T A Fake Mustache

  • This song's break drums have probably been sampled a billion times

  • Pure rock n roll!!!

  • The Beatles recorded the reprise version live all at the same time in one room.

  • at 0:37 joh has his hands in his pants

  • @sammieboo11

Now i know where Al Bundy got this from! :D

  • @sammieboo11 only you would notice that

  • 2 people did not seem to like the show. And I will be looking for them in the parking lot.....

  • John is holding his *** @ 0:31 !!!!

  • To the people who are insulting Anonymouse343434: Chill out people. He's just stating his opinion, which he IS entitled to. Plus, it wasn't like he was insulting the Beatles in the first place. He was just saying that there are many other musicians that are on their level. Reasonable enough, I think.

  • You can here I'm really dead really dead in 1.07 1.11

  • brano rivoluzionario

  • MEGATON WALK FROM EARTHBOUND

  • Comment removed

  • sounds like a hip hop beat

  • I can't get over how innovative they were, I would have never thought this was recorded in the '60s

  • I don't know which version I like better. They're like two completely different amazing songs.

  • @goodolcrushey1 Reprise is a million times better then the first one.

  • @moledemolisha61 Like I said, they're like two different types of songs. I kinda like the original a little better, though. I think they put more feeling into that one. Don't get me wrong tho, they're both awesome songs.
