i think this performance is weak (might not be the performance itself but just the live mixing) when it comes to how amazing this album is. also, saw phish at jones beach. awesome awesome awesome.
You're seriously stating, right here, that "Shine" blows the doors off any live Phish you've seen in 15 years? Are you kidding? My god, kid...Nothing about Shine blows the doors of ANY LIVE PHISH SHOW EVER!!!
and if you honestly played just phish for 3 years straight to get treys tone and style thats lame. if you work that hard on your own style you could be better than trey
It was at Bonnaroo 06 that some dude from "American Idol" sat in on the "Try" set. That is when I looked around at all the Wookies while hearing a horrible version of some Van Halen song, that I said. "I guess thats it for me". I was truly sad and disappointed. However I am hoping this run coming up will be a redeeming one for him, and Phish. As much as Wookies now bother me as much as TOOL fans. I have learned that a band should not be associated with its fans.

Who the fuck is the LA lookin tool bag on rhythm guitar. He must be Treys "H" hook up to be getting that gig. The only thing saving this band are the brothas that are in it. This song is simply horrible. Is that Jen doing back up vocals with no trumpet?
nice Vomit bro I laughed my ass off reading your shit. I think the choad load on rhythm guitar is some G I T queer who is related to the producer. You nailed it the brothas are the only reason this band is hitting any kind of pocket
I have just excepted that most of us are retarded and wouldn't know good music or a good set if it came up and planted itself on the tip of your tongue and dissolved. I wish them the best of luck... Killy McGhee is fucking clown shoes.
Not hating its just reality. "H" indeed does kill the ear. It's still confusing how the band "Phish" didn't let anyone in the circle (meaning backstage scene) until around ~99. That is when it all started to fall off. (So they Say) I unfortunately didn't see my first show until Phoenix 97, I spent the next 3 yrs finding that tone which I played for 8yrs. Now all I am trying to do is unlearn from what I accomplished.
Yeah, Jen needs to get on that horn man, she rocks! I saw her live and she was amazing. She also has a beautiful voice though. You're right, that rhythm guitarist looks so out of place, like he just quit Sum 41
Trey doing "H" Is very bad for many reasons other that it ruins his "ear" for guitar! and to groves street, Listen to Trey play for about 10 years and you will hear how to play like him....that's the only way man! I wish it were easier.
i don't know...i loved this version of TAB..cleveland '05 was the shit...lean and mean, and an "i am the walrus" to boot...he can do no wrong in my eyes...VIVA LE TREY!!!
I am the walrus!! yes! Cleveland '05 was an AWESOME show. The glow stick wars were just off the charts, and Trey was in rare form. He played it hard. We were lucky to be able to se such a set!
indeed...and what a cool place for a gig...a big tent set up on a concrete pad...and GA...one of my favorite trey memories...the whole summer tour was sweet (the night before in n.y. was a funky "sledgehammer")
"slurppypurr' - learn to use chromatic scales and modes, use diminished scales passing between chords, and most importantly use a compressor to get a good tone.

When will Trey wisen up and realize that this pop shit isn't cool? He had the world by the balls, was putting out life-changing tunes with a timeless band, and now this shit!!!
i'd hardly call this "pop shit." trey's just doing his own thing for a while...all the greats did it, just let him do what he's doing. worst case scenario, phish really is permanently gone...so they went out on top. trey is still a legend.
Thats really funny and true. I liked trey band alright when he had the brass section and bongos and shit/push on till the day. But this is complete shit he must have eaten one too many tabs or bars or smoked too much crack when he wrote this little didddy
Who the hell is that other guitar player with Trey? He looks like an Abercrombie wanna-be frat boy douchebag. He thinks he's the sh*t too with his gay ass hair. What a TOOL.
why would you put this up without sound??? frickin cruel

There's a lot more to Trey than the silly schoolyard attitude he puts on for everyone. I think he's more introspective nowadays

drop tons of acid, drink mushroom-infused hot chocolate, smoke weed, do as many drugs as possible, then freak out and play, then youve got it bro.
