I really hope they still release EROS. I know they shelfed it because of the situation with Chi then came out with Diamond Eyes. Which is a great record btw. But the demos I've heard of EROS has made me more than anxious for it's release. I assume they're waiting for Chi's full recovery.

They will probably announce the release date of Eros at the end of the year. They want to release it, it would be nice if Chi could rehabilitate soon enough to see it released, but his recovery rate is very slow. The question is, will they tour for Eros, and if they do will Sergio play?

Maybe on another bsides. As for eros, they say it will be released later after the new album is done but I highly doubt it. I think a few songs will be on the new bsides and thats about it.

Eros not being released...? WRONG. Eros is coming and Chino made a comment on the release date this september month. It's coming out next year but Chino was a little optimistic and said "the end of the year". That'll be this year.

You never know, the Deftones work some sort of new flavor into every album. White Pony had that somewhat of an electric feel whereas their self-titled was metalish. SNW was mostly genius with diverse musicality and lyrical depth. Eros is supposed to be HEAVY, and this could be that caliber they are looking for. If they can use this style to inspire the instruments, Chino will add his touch.

I think the old Deftones went out the door a while ago. The fact that they didn't run with this song on the last album speaks for itself. I guess you could blame it on the direction of the music industry itself or maybe even the direction that deftones is going in now adays. The "good ol days" are gone. If, for some sad reason you watch MTV nowadays, and watched it 7 or 8 years ago you'll recall the day when they played Deftones, Tool. Rage etc...

After Listening to this for the past four days, I'm very pissed off and disappointed that they didn't run with this. This sounds like a neutered version of it's former glory. I wonder if this was a bob job? Or what period this recording was done in. Before or after the live version. I don't like this version. The intro riff is gone, the airy verse guitar sounds good though. Heavy bit sounds wack with the constant harmonics. Extra riff out of nowhere (3:15 - 3:43)... doesn't belong... (?) and then the outro riff sounds too twangy. Should sound grungier like the heavy bit and as it does live.
