The racial diversity and integration on this show is poor and disgusting.

At least 5 of the houseguests' ethnicity should be something other then White.

I don't know what the casting director and/or producer of Big Brother is thinking but they are not thinking about the importance of racial diversity and integration.

Good for her that she is happy and got away with this behavior. Normally, this sort of stuff backfires on a woman. But hey, it paid off in her case. CBS doesn't care that their

CEO plays favorites.

I am suprised that anyone could get away with what Les Moonves got away with. He left his wife and kids for a news reader and promoted her to morning anchor. The show has no viewers and he doesn't get rid of her? He gave her Big Brother. Katie Couric has to get ratings - so does, Diane Sawyer, Meredith Vierra - they all do. Julie Chen is where she is because she slept her way up and she doesn't have to do a thing to keep her job. Very unfair to all the women in the news.

And theres more - Les Moonves was married for 26 years before he fell for his employee, a news reader and left his family for her. In a way, it's not Chen's fault - he gave Chen the moon and stars but he was so ready to pull the plug on Katie Couric until she delivered the goods. Chen never had to deliver the goods. Unfair to all the CBS women didn't sleep their way up the ladder. Not Chen's fault for getting a free ride - but so unfair to the other women who he demands the goods from.

Ok, I get you, but honsestly, no sympathy here for any of the folks in media. So sure 95% of folks on TV are there thru contacts rather than merit. TV is the worse pt of entertainment industry, BECAUSE it's mostly an illusion. Jobs like Katie, Diane, or Meredith's aren't merit-based jobs. They likely share similiar social profiles as Julie too. Ex. Ex. Oprah - Garnered opps inspite of constant passovers due to wt, color & sex, & daddy wasn't a PR & newspaper exec, like Katie's was...cont.

No. I think Julie Chen is the ONLY one in the media right now who is getting a free pass because she is sleeping with the boss. The rest damn well deliver ratings or they will be fired immediately. Katie Couric would have been fired by Les Moonves but she proved herself and delivered ratings. Bottom line - the anchors in the news have to bring ratings or they get replaced. I hope you don't think I'm a stalker, & def. don't intend to bulldoze, but, as a woman, I can't help thinking that Julie is targeted as an Asian woman, & because lover turned hubbie is super rich & powerful. I guess it's hard for me to see much fairness in how entertainment is managed...the only thing that's remotely fair is some aspects of reality TV, and then, even that can be manipulated. I guess I just don't percieve chicks earning $14Ml/yr in entertainment as somehow victims of nepotism.

I didn't answer your earlier statements but this one realy annoyed me. Julie Chen is American. The fact that she is Asian has nothing to do with anything. The other news anchors you mentioned - there is no evidence they screwed their way to the top. It is a fact that Julie Chen did. Again, I do not blame her,. Her boss who is 25 years older and married offered her the anchor position. A lottery ticket. Les Moonves is guilty of abuse of power at CBS and Viacon.
