Very cool seeing these guys together what a classic video. I've always that that Gadd feels the best on this but then again he is the first person who starts an actual groove which packs a punch after Vinnie & Weckl's 'warm up'. All in all, they are as good as each-other!

It amazes me sometimes how less is more in some cases. Don't get me wrong, I love Vinnie, but this was just silly already. Dave was accurate as always, but I think this one goes to Steve. Without him in this mix, it would have been Vinnie trying to out do Dave and it would have gotten too noisy!

i can't understand in anyway how Steve Gadd coulf possible match up to weckle and Vinnie i mean yeah hes pushes and pulls time and its a 'true performer' but they are playing at a Buddy Rich memorial and buddy use to shred like crazy and just blow the other drumers off stage and completly enialate them which is what i see both vinnie and weckle doin.

all of these are big influences on me since i was a kid, but steve always stuck out to me, like in this vid he showed that he knew the tricks of the trade, but didnt sacrifice any musicality to his solo. a ten, my first lix were his mozambique, his doubles licks, and his rimshot licks. then i learned buddy richs' n vinnie's 1-over-1.

Attended many clinics with all three and have seen all of them live on numerous occasions. Vinnie and Dave a awesome, but Steve is the consumate combination of taste, speed and GROOVE. He's the tastiest drummer I've ever seen, bar NONE!

Not having been there, I feel as though I may have missed the single most entertaining drum solo ever in person. I truly envy those who witnessed this show first hand.. I've seen many solo's but rarely with this intensity and three monster players. However, I am fortunate in another way to have been able to put this on and CRANK IT UP. en mi opinion cada uno toca a su estilo , pero tambien puede ser que weckl y colaiuta estuvieran como compitiendo, si te refieres a tecnica, rapidez, chops, etc, si me parece que colaiuta le lleva años a weckl y a gadd en ese aspecto

La diferencia que noto, es que colauita no crea patrones ritmicos con su cabezota, son puro fills y redobles, hace ruido no musica (menos ritmo), escucha el groove que tiene Gadd al lado de ellos dos, se los devora vivos, y es agradable como toca, al menos me hizo mover el culo de la silla cuando empezo a tocar, antes de eso me aburria.

Todos tocan excelente, pero pintada de cara de colauita por tocar mas notas juntas? ni en los sueños amigo.

in terms of techniques, what can I say? it's hard to find an expression...they're god-like. And in terms of style I guess everyone's got their own little favourite but to me, colaiuta's phrases really gave me a sensation above the other two...and yes, his toms sound fukking sexy. I'm a lucky one to have discovered all three drummers at the same time, in this vid actually, sparing me from bias toward one of them only.

WOW, as a drummer you just have to watch in amazement as perhaps 3 of the best drummers in the world showcase, but are also having a great time together. They are all unbelieveable talents and are all winners for doing a show like this and giving us nearly 9minutes of pure enjoyment in this vid.
