  • Ms. Brown, my thumbs thank you

  • did anyone else here the sound of a heart beat near the end?

  • Plz if you are going to do these techniques, use a pillow for higher elevation so its not bad on your back

  • Excellent suggestion on using the olecranon process to save the phalanges and metalcarpals from RSI. I'll try this new method the next time the class goes to lab!

    P.S. Greetings and Salutations.

  • Well Put! Saving your hands from cramping and pain is always useful when doing massages!

  • believe wherever you want ,but it hundreds of people love the feeling ,perhaps thousands ,it is all that counts ,no mater if is metologhy, reflexology,if it makes you feel good "guarantee"you will came back for more, that you better believe it .

  • Ok, me next.

  • Is it Reflexology or deep tissue massage??

  • Definitely not reflexology. Reflexology is based on a stupid superstition that the foot is the "map" of the body and by applying pressure to different specific points, you affect the associated part of the body.

  • actually your hands and feet are ridiculously wired in many ways into every part of your body. If you stub a toe electrical signals go through your entire body. I could see how reflexology is possible. And how it is widely used in japan, thailand, and, china with huge amounts of history backing it. I wouldn't doubt it's real.

  • RedDaVincy, don't you think that statement is a bit harsh?? Unless you've ever researched it AND had reflexology done by a trained professional, you really shouldn't criticize it. I've had it done and could actually feel different areas of my body responding. Reflexology and accupressure are wonderful eastern techniques that work to help heal your body!

  • Even I've read about this, I thought it was common knowledge that Reflexology was the same thing as acupuncture or feng shui-- just some very old superstition. It's completely unproven by conventional (real) science. You can continue believing what you want, though.

  • @Thomson1929

The fact that people themselves feel generally better after acupuncture or a session of reflexology is enough to believe it works in some senses regardless of what science has to say, even if it only works for those people. Matter over mind.

  • tealeh2:

I believe she mention deep tissue massage, tealeh2.

    P.S. Greetings and Salutations.

  • Man I could almost feel it!

  • Appreciate the tips...good technique, thanks.
