Linux worked out of the box. I`m currently using fedora 11 on it...takes 11 secs to boot up!! wow. I got it with vista, and surprisingly, vista worked like magic. It booted in like 15 secs !! I was shocked... Ask me any questions about this laptop, i`m sure i can help you out with it.
@vigilhammer I have a question, because i wanna but this laptop. but I'm not so sure with the 3 D. are you always commited to put the 3D glasses on. so if you dont. you see everything shady. or can you switch the 3 D modus on when you want to?? cause I think it would be weird if you were it al the time.

I run vista, i play a movie, i encode a Dvd and it all works just awesome. One thing though.. it gets heated. Maybe not as fast as other laptops, but i wud suggest if u wanna run it for a long time, then use a cooling pad. I use belkin coolin pad and it stays cool for 10 - 15 hours at a stretch. I`ll giv this laptop 5/5.

First of all, you need to understand, that the laptop or any computer will play whatever video is supplied to it. All video formats are supported by acer. You need not worry about the laptop displaying it, cause it will. You need to check the specifications of the video card. Go to the ATI webpage for that. Now when connecting any new HW to the laptop, always consider the amount of heat displacement cause u dont wanna heat the processor too much. Laptops r built with this mind. and RAM size.
@meeflaviu you need also a faster CPU. it's not a video card issue. the 3D technology renders two images at the same time, so it uses a lot of resources: CPU, GPU, memory
how big is this laptop?? looks big!!! it has a numberpad on it....coooollll.....wat graphics card does it have...i presume a high end one??? Geforce GTX something???

Dipende dal disassamento oculare che è stato scelto per il programma, cioè la profondità dell'effetto 3D.

E' soltanto un programma che simula il 3D, quindi anche il tuo può.
Basta che prendi un paio di occhiali adatti e scarichi il programma.
