Well they fucked that one up didn't they? That's right Hollywood, ignore over 10 years of Mortal Kombat history and folklore. None of those characters were right at all. Baraka is Tarkatan, not a stupid plastic surgeon, thats just offensive. Reptile is the last of his kind from another realm destroyed by Shao Khan (i think) and he's only entering the tournement so that he can win it and use Shang T'sung's flesh pits to revive his fallen race... But they wouldn't know that now would they?

This film will surely make a lot of money. Everyone knows, that right now fantasy films about other wolds don't make much money (except transformers and Avatar). So the author transfered them into real people (well not real, but closer than the original idea). I think that this will be really good and this trailer is sick. A lot of work done here, especially with reptile's moment when they zoom-in to his teeth with this sound effect - Scary and skillful. Editors must be really good.

@GujaRaa That's how IMDb has it listed, and yes they have the new web series, but from what I had heard when this came out through various websites this was a short film meant to lock a deal for a new MK movie. The movie pitch fell through, probably from difficulties in obtaining the rights, but they did start the new web series which looks promising
