  • woah nice! So those guy were pretending to be bad people but you acctyallu fought them

  • Yup they were friends of mine, we were just demonstrating different techniques :-) Thanks for the comment!

  • I used to go to this place

  • Rather not say on here, someone who broke away from Anshu Hayes for undisclosed reasons. Its okay though, I am rereading your comments and my mind is much more open again. Thank you.

  • Oh no problem bro, I love cross training in other arts. I regularly train in BJJ, Boxing, Akido, and in Bujinkan dojos. But I enjoy the fun we have at ours. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with To Shin Do, can I ask who the instructor was?

  • In that case I would say you are training for all the right reasons! I just had some negative experiences with To Shin Do and formed a negative opinion. Thank you for your insight and I apologize for my poor point of view. Enjoy!!!

  • Good techniques. My challenge to all the quest centers would be to take the next step into realism. You need to really get in there and look hard at what it means to inflict trauma on an aggressor. Laughing, playing and pretending does not prepare you for the reality of hurting someone. Again, good techniques now lets get real.

  • Lol when I want realism I go spar. You have different training priorities then I do. Laughing playing and "pretending" is what I want, I train for fun dude, not because I'm worried about being attacked. Good luck with that though...

  • Totaly, I train in To Shin Do myself under Michael & Lori Stinson in Arizona and when I want realizm, I put on padding and headgear so if I do get hit, I don't get seriously injured. I totally agree with you capty26.

  • Thanks for the support! I hear the Arizona Quest center is great, I'm not sure If I've met Michael and Lori yet, but they have a good reputation.

  • They are awesome teachers. I have trained for about 2 years, but being a perfomer I can't train constantly but I am a Red/White right now. Hope to see more of your stuff online.

  • I am thinking about taking up this martial arts in the near future. Please tell me more about it and where I can get accurate info. Please tell me what you love about it and what you would recommend to someone like me who wants to start and has never done martial arts before. Thank a lot!

  • Very Cool!

  • Thanks :-) Is this the Jeremiah from Portland?

  • No Jeremiah from California.
