@khashhhh unburnt fuel enters the exhaust then when it gets hot enough by the exhaust it's ignited and then you have a flame, i love seeing ricers shoot flames out their fart cans, i laugh so hard
what i thought was cool was driving to the exhaust shop in my truck, 86 Silverado 4bbl 350 Lunati Voodoo cam with Flowtech longtubes only, that was insanely loud and it shot out flames when i let off and big ones too

ha it doesnt have to have a turbo to spit flames man, you just gotta have a catless exhaust system, my mx-3 will shoot em like crazy
