Wow, they really seem to be screwing up the roster. I hope we get to see some more actual GOOD characters from all the years of Ninja Turtles - such as Bebop, Rocksteady, Krang, Karai, Baxter, Rat King, Leatherhead, Slash, Tokka, Rahzar, Ninjara, Miyamoto Usagi, and such. There will probably be more crap characters like Ultrominator and Rabbids. But I'd like to be proven wrong. Usagi should be a guest star instead of those crap Rabbids.

That makes little sense, man. The cartoon was an adaptation so it could be watched by kids. If today's TMNT cartoons are STILL kiddy, then don't blame it on the 80's cartoon, blame it on 4Kids.

The fact that things go 'kiddy' is because it will sell better through toys, movies, etc, rather than just comics that only a few will buy nowdays anyway.

I see no reason to hate any of the series.

Just take it MARVEL style and accept different concepts and alt-universes, instead of being a purist. :(

The roster is full of new gen aka crappy gen toons so far and the TMNT's are neccesary but pretty much 4 clones that = 1 toon.

old school toons like old krang and old 80's foot soldier look better so maybe alternate costumes i hope? It's all good except for two things.

Most people count Fast Fiward as more of a spin off. They doin't include it as part of the main 2003 series since there was a season 5 but they decided to air Fast Foward instead. But besides Shredder in the 03 cartoon everything else was fine. Peter Laird even liked the character of Hun so much he wants to add him to the Mirgage series and make him part of the true TMNT Canon

You're forgetting, Boberthavok, that if it weren't for the 1987 cartoon series, no one would know what TMNT is today. That show put the Turtles on the map. Without it, the comic would have just faded into obscurity, and the TMNTs wouldn't be the pop-culture juggernaut they are today. And considering this is a 25th anniversary game, it's necessary to take all aspects of the franchise into account, even the ones you personally don't like.

But they creators never really meant for the Turtles to become huge anyway. They orginally only meant for it to be a oneshot. But Eastman and Laird did what any smart person would do and kept going for the money. I don't blame them for that. But I do blame them for getting to greedy and selling out what was a mature product to kids. Plus wehat would happen if a little kid saw a mirage comic of TMNT with people getting up and limbs being cut off. It just isn't appropriate for a kid to see.
