got subaru impreza and civic type R and i bought TT 2002 Quattro 9 yr ago, so that was 9 years i still keep it,we cannot compare tt to the 2 badboys.they say im so sweet in tt than scooby.in fact, it aint performance but feel relaxing while sitting in audi. especially all quality interior and this little car can catch nice sashy gurl. well,JC is fat and bigger, if you fat, dont buy TT.. but scooby.

I've had both the Subaru GT and the Audi TT. There is no doubt the Subaru is faster, but it is like driving a noisy tin can compared to a sublime little tank. Worse without traction control in the Subaru - my insurance company even sent me a nasty letter for buying a deathtrap.

I own one with 170.000 km and it didnt see the repair shop other then normal services. Take the Quattro, you wont regret it, the lower hp TTs are to slow for my liking, and AWD is great in wet conditions. Also be sure to lower it, looks 10x better as vanilla. I lowered mine at the front by 50mm and at the back at 35mm.

I'm sorry but it looks like what it is, a Golf in a squashed VW body, designed for hairdressers and it would look great in a skip. Dress it up however you like. Emperors new clothes. You have to squint to make it look good. The only 150 you can hit is if you run into some milk bottles. Nice clutches though, but you can't see them. Jeremy was in this case spot on. Try driving at 30 mph with the top up as it says in the book, then have it fixed. Why would you want to anyway? Girls car

@AaronO220 audis are not that good. they fall apart after 60,000miles. A ton of plastic under the hood. Notice also there are no videos of fast or built audi tts. If you like euro cars I'd go with a bmw 335i or m3.

My daddy just went and picked up the 2012 Audi TT Coupe. I am not a fan of the interior.. Probably because I am used to riding in a Porshce. The vents just look ridiculous sticking out in the dash and the seats are indeed uncomfortable.

@nikanaughty : The TT is exactly what Jeremy says it is : a hairdresser's car. It's slow (for the price), fairly ugly and utterly impractical. The new TT looks and drives a LOT better and doesn't have to make do with shapes that make it look like it was drawn by a four year old.

If a car has a stupid (lets say "not good") chassis, it won't corner well. That's why the TT sucks at cornering.

If you have a look at all cars on the market after this car, you may get an idea what the first TT meant for modern car design (either the R8). This is more like a design statement than a performaoce car and I like it, the old version more that the new one.

I understand how they evaluate cars, but from a real life point of view, speed doesn't really matter since unless you live in Wales, you won't have anywhere to actually go max speed anyway. I'm not saying this car is amazingly looking and all that, but that's what most people will chose it based on.
