I improved on mission 2 (Broken Neck) using Blast lens (blast & zero are the best I have atm):
Turn the corner and take a weak shot from mid range (if you move closer, she'll go invincible until she attacks, which wastes time). It does just enough damage to let you finish her with your next attack.
Get close asap, wait for the fatal frame and hit her with a combo - by the third shot you'll have enough spirit points to use Blast lens and kill her. Should be quick enough for S rank.
Are you putting more of these mission vids up? Mission 11 is really annoying me (the one with several women-in-box crawling out of the well). I've just got through it for the first time without running out of film, but I missed the time limit by 5 seconds. >:¬[ grrrrrrrrr
No rush as far as I'm concerned though. I managed to finish mission 11 with an A rank. I'll comment on that vid when it's up.

And I'm pretty sure I got an S rank when I used Serial lens which you get when you complete your spirit list (PS2)
Serial lens lets you shoot a ghost when it's not in shutter chance (red) which will do the same effect as taking it's fatal frame and you can use it in succession to the max spirit orbs you have filled (costs 1)
That lens sounds amazing. So does that allow you to start a combo too?
If the requirement is the same on the xbox version, that means having to get to the end of Survival Mode and capture Utsuro... so I doubt I'll be getting it any time soon :/

@AnimeAngel21332 Yep, just beat the game once, save over that file, reload and it'll bring you to the screen for missions and outfits, etc.

Yeah, it allows you to do combos
I tried looking around (which I did before) to see how you unlock the serial lens for the Xbox version, but I haven't found the answer yet, sorry

yup, it's the same on xbox - complete the spirit list to get the serial lens. Unfortunately it's a bit harder to complete the spirit list.
