My mother grew up in the country side with no radios until she was fifteen years old and came to New York. She was fixated on what the radio was and it fascinated her and Michael Jackson was playing when one of her neighbors showed her what a radio was. When 'Thriller' was released on vinyl, she rushed to the store to buy it with the money she earned and saved. She still has it and sometimes lets me play it. Just holding the album sleeve makes me feel so much power in my hands.

I think it's also possible that the recording industry tried to destroy him by fabricating some of these accusations to push him towards bankruptcy so that when he renegotiated his record contract they would have a bigger advantage. Few years later near his death I started listening to his music and searching up interviews on him, reading stuff about him. I realized I was completely wrong.
