With the 4 different versions of this with the older Japanse one, then IsWaK, then the anime Itazura Na Kiss and then Playful Kiss this one is my favorite. I love the family scenes in this one and how all their relationships play into each other. In ISWAK you fall in love with the whole family.

I liked Playful Kiss, but.. for me it's just a one shot deal. Like any other Korean Drama I've seen. You watch it, you like it, you laugh, you cry, then you're done and you don't care to watch it ever again.

Many Taiwanese dramas have this certain feeling, however. The feeling where you want to re-watch the same dramas over.. and OVER.. and OVER AND OVER again, NEVER getting sick of them.

ISWAK is no exception. <3

Plus, Ariel and Joe. That is all that is needed to make a good drama! XD

Actually the manga which was released in 2003 came out, this is an adaption of that supposedly and the anime is also an adaption of the manga.

in my opinion, those who first viewed the taiwanese version prefer taiwanese being the best, those who fist viewed japan prefer the japanese version and of course, those who haven't watch these both but first viewed PLAYFUL KISS will get hooked with it and consider it being the best among the other versions... that's just it!! so let's respect everyone's opinion!!

first produced when manga version hasn't even completed. followed by the taiwanese version which is "it started with a kiss" then the korean which is "playful kiss"...

It's always Taiwan being the first to remake a japanese manga, then followed by japan again, then korea being the last and being THE BEST TO REMAKE..

I love Playful Kiss but ISWAK is way better and way funnier. Ariel and Joe have good chemistry making it worth watching. I have never watched a drama with the most kissing scenes like this drama (referring to both ISWAK & 'They Kiss Again) and seriously, those kisses are sweet. Ariel plays a dumb character really well making you hate and love her at the same time. Joe's expressions are priceless. They should make a 100 episode for a good drama like this.

I like both versions to the anime, but i really liked "Playful kiss" well the #1 reason is because of the male lead (Kim Hyun joong) he's my favorite korean singer/actor so ya I had to watch it! Hes sooooo sexy...!

They went far & beyond the anime and other versions of this, the characters were portrayed a lot more and viewers got the chance to see the real depth and meaning to their actual personas. I love this version. I love how I can sense actual chemistry between the two main leads. This is probably my 10th time watching this, I cannot get enough of it. Perhaps its because I kind of went through the same thing as Ariel? Lol, who knows...

Yes, the playful Kiss male lead is better looking, but Ariel is much better looking than Playful Kiss lead actress, who is a little bit ugly. If you're seeing Ariel Lin for the first time---she is somehow making herself look and sound babyish for the part. But in reality she doesn't look or talk babyish at all, she's very pretty.

The Tiawan version is a much better story, but I watched both, and yes---no chemistry between leads in Playful Kiss.
