Bands copy other peoples music a majority of the time. if you play an instrument,your inspiration and the melodies you come up with, come from other bands.You didnt come up with your work,you just connected other bands melodies and rhythms together. Cold Play and Satriani, got in a little disagreement over a similar reason. just because a band played the same 3 chords in a row doesnt mean they copied. there are only so many chords you can play,and certain chords only sound good with other chords
