Oprah, being both a WOMAN talk show host, and a BLACK talk show host, and having as much influence she has and inspiration she gives. A lifetime of accomplishment > a single moment.

I'm not sure about "even more by white people than black people." It seems that whenever a person from a racial minority becomes successful, people assume that he/she is more popular with the white audience. I'd say that she's a global icon, and she's a black woman who's been able to transcend the social limitations of race and gender.
