its sad that people hate on toyotas without knowing the truth.... i have an 05 ford 6.0 liter turbo diesel and an 08 tundra 5.7 v8 both stock and both i use to tow my 10000lb toy hauler, in my excursion i had to go peddal to the floor going up some hills and the speed would drop down from 70 to 45 some times even down to 40.... in my tundra on really steep hills i didnt go peddal to the floor and it would maintain a speed of 60 plus. the tundra felt alot safer better stability breaking and POWER

@Malharley03 I know the numbers on the HD. I seriously looked at buying one a few months ago and based on information i got from NHTOC, most people run high 14's when theyre stock, which is about the same or a little higher than a stock tundra.

@Malharley03 if you are talking about the 6.0, the crew max tundra is faster than the largest 4 door chevy has, but the chevy 6.2 is a hair quicker. the reg cab tundra is really quick, which it is heavier than each other truck it is the same as in size. the chevy and the 6.1 ram both are fast trucks. i wont knock any of them, every one of them truly have advantages and disadvantages. and all 3 of them make a pretty truck in some form or fashion. supercharger is the only real mod for the tundra.
@Malharley03 yeah and I think its funny that i too have seen numbers range as far as a second difference for its own time. for the tundras 1/4 mile and the 0-60. it depends on really who conducts, the drivers response and what not. they both turn great numbers for large trucks. what hurts the tundra is the ten and a half inch ring gear in the quarter mile. it needs to run the 4:11

Ford no recalls? get real do a Google search on Ford recalls before you post. Just on the Ford I own I have had several recalls. I recall a recall on Fords burning up because of some bad switch under the hood. Many people lost there Ford and there house because of it.
first of all switch was made by texas instrument. second the vehicles catching fire were very rare, and only occured when dumbasses played with the buttons when the vehicle was in park. if it was toyota they would say you must have been smoking. you can google thousands of problems with toyotas as well, except the manufacturer never does their much needed recalls. people have their engine blow up before 100k. toyota says you should have kept your oil change reciepts.

actually there was a recall for ford, it could catch fire because of a wire, it could get too hot and ignite, I own a 97 F-150 and it got the recall letter, but till this day nothing has happened, I have done nothing to it, so with that said, I guess there wasn't any need for that recall lol

i kinda knew someone would bring tis up. guess what? the old chevrolet trucks used to have extra gas tanks in between the rear fenders and truck box. they did this so that they could say they got more miles per tank, making people believe they had better gas milage. now believe it or not, but their problems of blowing up were far greater than that of the pinto. yet funny thing is almost know body has ever heard of this. pinto did not have gas tank in rear, it was only the hose.
in the late 60's there were many cars with the gas caps in the rear. my father had a 69 mach 1 and it was rear ended pretty bad and did not blow up. nowadays it is no different. only the gas doors are in the side. well if the car gets hit over that door in the side the hose would compress and they would be just as much likely to blow up as the pinto. i for one liked the gas cap in the rear center, made filling up more easy. meant you could take any spot, and it looked cool too.

Tundra will still rape them....it's not only about the engine, even though Tundra will still probably win in that department, as well. The transmission is much better, and switches between the 6-speed much faster than any other truck.
If this was a full WOT race, then there really is something wrong. I'm sure the Harley would have been beat, but not by that much. Also, it seems like the Ford driver tried to power shift an automatic, and failed miserably. But those new Tundras are no joke stock.

The new Ram has a 5.7L that has more HP than the Tundra, but I haven't seen any races between the new Ram and new Tundra so I couldn't say who's faster.
There are non-biased comparison tests between the Titan, F150, Sierra, Ram, Tundra, and Silverados. Of course my precious F150 is the slowest, lol, but in all comparisons I've seen, all run equal conditions, the Tundra is faster than the new generation Rams.

The tundra with the iforce 5.7 is only pushing 318 hp,,,but the 4.0 which is the lowest model engine is only pushing about 236 hp.. soo thats pretty impressive.
the supercharged harley trucks were only rated at 340 horsepower. Tundra is 381. Not too suprising. A smaller pulley and a chip would make that Ford scream though.

@JohnThomasB the ford cant get out of its own way it is so slow and the hp and torque ratings are the lowest on the charts. so how can it possibly tow more than even the dodge? i followed on with an 18 foot camper and it dropped to 40 mph on the interstate. not even a large hill. he hit about 75 going down, though. they can tow the weight, but if it is 10k lbs, for instance, behind it and the tundra 5.7, bye bye ford up hill. even the titan outpulls the triton.

The HD's are fast, but they will run dead even or a little slower than a double cab tundra and they would definitely lose to a single cab. Im not trying to knock the HD though. Theyre great trucks too. He just clearly lost in this race.

@Malharley03 if you are talking about the 6.0, the crew max tundra is faster than the largest 4 door chevy has, but the chevy 6.2 is a hair quicker. the reg cab tundra is really quick, which it is heavier than each other truck it is the same as in size. the chevy and the 6.1 ram both are fast trucks. i wont knock any of them, every one of them truly have advantages and disadvantages. and all 3 of them make a pretty truck in some form or fashion. supercharger is the only real mod for the tundra.

first of all switch was made by texas instrument. second the vehicles catching fire were very rare, and only occured when dumbasses played with the buttons when the vehicle was in park. if it was toyota they would say you must have been smoking. you can google thousands of problems with toyotas as well, except the manufacturer never does their much needed recalls. people have their engine blow up before 100k. toyota says you should have kept your oil change reciepts.

it was a very rare case of the cruise control deactivation switch getting too hot if being messed with while vehicle is in park. really stupid recall i agree. remember the ford explorer? firestone tires were blowing up, and it wasnt fords fault. they dont make their tires. thats why explorer was nicknamed "exploder", but rumor got so twisted people think explorer is defective. not fair. anyways ford knows what theyre doing. i am proud of ford. most companies deny even major problems.

i kinda knew someone would bring tis up. guess what? the old chevrolet trucks used to have extra gas tanks in between the rear fenders and truck box. they did this so that they could say they got more miles per tank, making people believe they had better gas milage. now believe it or not, but their problems of blowing up were far greater than that of the pinto. yet funny thing is almost know body has ever heard of this. pinto did not have gas tank in rear, it was only the hose.

in the late 60's there were many cars with the gas caps in the rear. my father had a 69 mach 1 and it was rear ended pretty bad and did not blow up. nowadays it is no different. only the gas doors are in the side. well if the car gets hit over that door in the side the hose would compress and they would be just as much likely to blow up as the pinto. i for one liked the gas cap in the rear center, made filling up more easy. meant you could take any spot, and it looked cool too.

@anthonyledo You are not making any sense. they recalled rusting frames. they undercoated the ones that were not. they do more recalls in two years than any other auto maker has in 25. they know what they are doing, and if your engine blows up, and you cant prove the oil changes, and they havent had a high percentage of that engine blowing up, then they know it isnt a fault with toyota. plus, the standard warranty is 3year 36,000 bumper to bumper and 5 year 60000 on the powertrain.

The tundra with the iforce 5.7 is only pushing 318 hp,,,but the 4.0 which is the lowest model engine is only pushing about 236 hp.. soo thats pretty impressive.

youre stupid get your facts straight the 5.7 has 380 horses and the lowest model is a 4.6 v8 that has 315 or 310 horses

the supercharged harley trucks were only rated at 340 horsepower. Tundra is 381. Not too suprising. A smaller pulley and a chip would make that Ford scream though.
