I don't really see it as a father/daughter nor a brother/sister relationship. While Yachiru's very young and clearly devoted to Kenpachi, she's pretty independent. Though he's had her since she was a baby, Kenpachi was more a guardian than a father. Of course, that doesn't mean that they aren't super close, but to me they've always been more partners in crime (so to speak, since they don't commit crimes ^_^) than anything else. He speaks to and treats her as an equal, not a child.

If word gets out that he has a soft spot for her, he'd probably think that people will see him as weak. He really does care about her, but like most animes, they make the boys all try to act all tough but really care for a person. I also think it's a father/daughter relationship like most people.
