I was about 13 when I first watched the beginning of the movie. And something about that sudden change in Kane's demeanor was so compelling. What happened to that smiling husband?

Wow. This scene... it just takes your breath away. Just when you forget Citizen Kane's an amazing movie, you see something as good as this. The life of a marriage in 3 minutes.
