Saw these guys open for Ace Frehley at L'Amour NYC back in like '84. They rocked. Unfortunately a majority of the drunken Ace Frehley crowd threw beer cans at them and gave them tons of shit. But they stuck it out and played their whole set while flipping off the crowd. Was glad I was there, they was cool.
Blimey. I had this record way, way back in the day. Get My Kicks made me chuckle then, and still makes me chuckle now. Props for having the conkers to take the Starz on but, really, you can't improve on perfection.
Ive got this release on my Ipod plus The bassist I believe went to work with L.A. Guns. Shoot for thrills (into the night) is on this and L.A. guns debut.
I've had the cassette since the release! And now have it on CD! This Kicks Ass! Bought it because of the Band name, I'm a huge KISS fan, Thought maybe there was a connection. There wasn't, other than being Glam. But I was hooked from the first Liston! Great Album!
Thanx dude!! :) Yeah, on Ebay, it was sealed, I believe since '85 or '86. There's vinyl copies too, but right now they're going for 60 bucks. Cassette was only $10...
@JarrettGardner80 I got it on Ebay. They still have them on there, I think. You can get a sealed copy for only like 10 bucks. I really want the vinyl version, too. But the cassette has the song "Two Time Love" which the vinyl version didn't :D
i loved this album!ok vocal wise its shaky, but it was raw! No over processed cheese! If it came out on c.d today i would buy it.Not bad for a band that had obviously a small budget to work with.
i never realized that subway terror is a cover originally done by 70s band starz. was on i tunes. (and i thort sweetpain were poets for writting this lyrical masterpiece!!!)
I was looking for Starz version and found this instead. Starz' original is MUCH better. I can't emphasize that enough. I'm gonna have to post the song on here now just so people hear how it's SUPPOSED to sound. This singer makes it sound bad.
wow, havent heard this since about 1986.these guys freakin rock, ahead of there time.so many other shit bands made it in the eighties, these guys deserved it
i really love the lyrics " i steal some purses. i see some nurses...i wanna dirty up their little skirtys up"... i dont think led zeppelin have much to worry about! but seriously, i got this on cassete. I like it. its so bad its good. i get my kicks and subway terror are the best tracks on the album. shoot for thrills later made into la guns song is another good 1. its alot slower almost sounds out of time in parts.

I loved these guys back in the day. I bought the album when I heard them on the local late night metal show. I've still got the vinyl somewhere.
I read somewhere that Corky Gunn was working on getting this re-released on CD with some bonus tracks but I haven't seen it yet.
This was one of my favorite non-thrash records from the 80's.

yes indeed, it's really sad Combat dropped the ball with these guys, they could have been huge.
