  • E9 FTMFW!!! I want a 3.0 so much but I would have no problem with his 2.8 either.

  • This was filed in the canyons not far from my house. We always go out there to carve up the roads, makes me proud to see this dude in our playground...

  • @peterdoubleyouz You mean in his playground ;)

  • This is what it's ALL about.

  • what an inspiration,

shame they dont make them like they used to

i hope to be caning round in a old e30 or e36 when im 80 odd

  • A shame that the video celebrates values that BMW seems keen to abandon with the majority of its current range of cars. I reckon it'll be hard to keep a V10 M6 going for 400,000 miles+ with its multi-mode semi-auto gearbox, heads-up display, multi-setting suspension, variable steering and all the rest of the muppet-pandering gadgetry.

I'd rather a nice E9 to anything BMW make now. That said, BMW do still make some fabulous cars, tho' it's a pity that they're less sporty and elegant these days.

  • @colin5577 you are a moron. BMW is one of the select few brands who still keeps true to its values. the points you make are changes with times and technology you complete moron. all cars have developed what the fuck do you expect? moron.

  • @08stroudml1 I'm guessing that you're 12, but when you can afford a BMW, and have driven a few of their cars - new AND old, come back to me with qualified comment. I've had a fair few of the new crop, and liked them all to a greater or lesser extent, but the Bangle era heralded a shift in priority at BMW, and not just in styling terms. Relative to the competition, current BMWs are less driver focused than their forebears. I'd happily debate this with you but you seem extraordinarily uninformed.

  • @colin5577 all cars have changed from before - just look at Farrari FF, Porsche cayenne/panamera, turbo BMWs, X6/5M. economic/environmental/technology/markets/government - these are some of the main factors that is the reason behind change in ALL BRANDS - its called adapting, not abandoning values.

Relative to competition? you are talking rubbish. BMW still and always will make class leading driver focused cars. End of debate.

seriously, nobody give's a shit how many cars you have driven

  • @08stroudml1 Well, what I've driven and owned makes my comment relevant to a discussion on BMW's current product philosophy. As you evidently don't even know how to spell Ferrari, a productive discussion is hardly on the cards here. I'll just say that the current 6 is NO sports car, the 1 is no dynamic class leader despite RWD, the current 5 plays second fiddle in the fun stakes to its Merc rival and the 7 is no longer the driver's choice in its class. X5/6M? 2.5 ton M-SUVs? Very core value.

  • This man is the biggest badass I've ever seen in my life.

  • bmw unscripted pieces are just amazing

  • arkhipone.narod2.ru - bmw 6 фото

  • god it's beautiful

  • Cool.

  • Looking at these CS-s one question springs to kind;

Why are most new BMW-s (except the Z series) so uuuuugly?

  • watching this makes BMW's advertising group so brilliant to use the "JOY" theme they have been for the last little while. it is truly that feeling, simply joy. seeing an old beauty like this 2800 make me so sad to have given my sister my old e30 318i

  • @wop1989 Well, imo, although BMW`s "Unscripted" and "The Hire" commercial series are just brilliant, I really dislike the whole "Joy" thing, bad advertising. It`s much more than just about joy, therefore, joy is a shallow word, when talking car-wise. Also, it only advertises the new cars, not the affection to the brand itself as it is in the two commercial series I first mentioned and in lots of Mercedes commercials. BMW has lost it`s path somwhere.

  • From 1988-1994 I drove a 71 2002. What a great car!!!

    After that, I owned from 1994-1999 a 80 528i E12.

From 1999-2008 a 520i Touring! - The best car ever - totally undestructable!

Since 2008 I switched due the Bangleismus to a Chrysler 300C Hemi Touring! - Great car, but I missed the spirit of the BMWs!

As you can imagine, last year in July, it happened again!

    70 2002ti - Yes, I´m 18 again! :-))

    Greetings from Germany,

    Carsten

  • Now BMW can give feelings that subaru gives :)

  • His words make me feel proud to own my car

  • This guy's so awesome.

  • ok this guy and the blond racing driver in the suggestion part. are my bloody heroes.

  • 1929? When I'm 81 I hope to as chipper as that guy. And rocking a ride as cool as that guy.

  • This is how a car should be treated.

  • @TheCottonTop The Rims are not new they're Alpina don't know what year specifically but their not new

  • i might get some fire here but i think u can only compare the driveability and feel of a BMW to most modern VWs and Fords, like the Ford Focus or Fiesta.

  • Bring back the wood shifter knob!

  • I melted when I saw the road at 2:11

  • who is that guy?

  • First time i got in contact with the bmw-design was in my dad's garage, who back then drove volvo and still does. BMW sucked onto me like nothing done before. 325iC E36, 740iA E38and problably the most fun of all a 2500 Bavaria E3. Pure drivingexperience!

  • my 91 e30 318is had 275k before it died because of neglect from me.

  • The music makes the video feel much more emotional. I hate to sound faggy but, great video. Make me want to go out and buy a BMW right now and hold on to it for 40 years. Great looking car by the way too. Those old BMWs were a cut above everthing else. Finally I must say, I don't think the rims he had were made in 69 but they really set the car off.

  • my mother just retired her 1987 325i after 23 years! promptly went out and bought another german car... these things are made to last!

  • i love my 335i. those turbos sound sexy as hell when spooling.

  • I had a 3.0cs for a few years, this is one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Mine was white with red leather seats and matching red door panels. Sunroof, limited slip, the works. Wish I had that car today...

  • Love it! I have a few of my own.

Nice car! Always have been a fan of the 3.0 csi.

I had over ten 2002's...now in an M3.

I've nbeen a fan before BMW was BMW....Love them!

  • I agree when he says this car has a special spirit. Older BMW are very special and have a feelings they trescent through the steering and pedals, I get that feeling everytime I drive my old beautiful 1990 325is 5spd e30

  • GOD DAMN!!! Thats a pretty 2800. These videos bring tears to my eyes. They are so powerful and say so much about real automobiles built for the real drivers.

  • @prolegomenon you are talking about America, right, where people LEARN to drive with Automatic Transmission?

  • @scorpio3lion

^Mr. Fowler appears to be cut from the kind of BMW owner that appreciated the brand and car beyond status, beyond posing with it.

He loved that car, drove it, but also appreciated it, took care of it, was responsible.

I'll be driving my little BMW for a while, its still super solid and I drive it good, and make sure its up to its maintenance. No Angel/Eyes, no tuning, just nice and stock! 225k baby!

  • @scorpio3lion Oh thats a very easy question to answer and I'll answer it with pleaseure!

Here's the deal, people who buy say new BMW's drive them to the ground, they don't do ANY maintenance, they abuse the cars, and don't change oil, clean the interiors, use cheap gasoline, basically, certain BMW owners are posers.

Thus, when the warranty is over, the car may look nice exterior wise, IF a bumper isnt squashed, etc. and TRADE it in for a new leased BMW and continue doing this.

  • My E36 compact is at 225k and counting.

  • @wendileona original engine?

  • @gammatnt Mine you're asking? Yes! Needs a little transmission work, a little body work... little dumb dings, but its still a little looker! The car is like a pet, you put responsible love into it, it loves you back. I've NEVER had that with other car makes and I've done Japanese and GM. Not trying to cause a debate, just stating my view.

  • So good and so well made ... Very inspirational stuff; thumbs up for BMW! What sort of ppl don't like this?

  • this video epitomises what it is to be BMW driver.

The feeling of being one with the car and connected to it.

    i <3 BMW

  • There shouldn't even be a thumbs down option for this video.

  • I love it, more of that PLZ

  • Brilliant.

  • Brilliant.

  • I love my M5...

  • It realy is a joy to drive a B.M.W.

  • I loved this video. Murray, what a guy. I know exactly how he feels. I was stationed in Germany and bought a '72 BMW 3.0CSI. What a fantastic car! "Odin", was Icelandic Blue, 4spd, front fogs, rear (red) fog, blue leather interior and it had the full tool kit in the trunk lid. Great engine, suspension. It was a blast to drive. It was my first and perhaps last BMW. Wish I had kept it. I sold it to a fellow pilot and found out later that it had caught fire and burned to the ground. Sad

  • Wow, what a fantastic video! Great job BMW!

  • beautiful car! BMW really makes drivers cars! I was so impressed by how a friends 1986 635csi drove so well! I want a BMW!

  • I take that special care of my 96 318, my first car. It is in excellent conditions. I love it even more than my 760!! :D

  • The old BMWs were awesome. I cannot say the same with current generation.

  • 0:58 Fuck Yea!

  • Who the fuck would dislike this ?

  • The nutriders of Audi (TheMegaCONARTIST, most likely), Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar (lukeXgamer, most likely), Cadillac (youlance29, most likely), and Lexus (JaguarLexusCentral, most likely).

  • Important companies' videos are cooler than the trash you ussually find on youtube, but i thought videos looking for commercial revenue were prohibited by the terms of service, well, at least to common users...

  • THAT WAS AWESOMmmmme

  • I'd kill for an e9. Especially 3.0cs

  • Comment removed

  • haha WaW Awesome!

  • Gotta love BMW. Loving my E36 320i

  • thats a special car

  • Is that the E9? Its beautiful.

Third gear sounds the same on my 280Z exactly the same, damn sure do love that sound. Thats the sound that made me fall in love with my Z but i wish i had that 2800cs... sigh...

Driving a BMW is totally different from other cars... im grateful that i have a E39 even if its just a 528i... the body is beautiful and the engine is very reliable

  • What a beautiful BMW!

  • timeless styling on that one.

  • That's going to be me in 30 years with my 2001 E39 M5.

"Third gear." That sound is *amazing.*

  • What a great story.

  • That straight 6 makes a great noise.

  • when i get old, i want to be like this guy :)

  • @deeisugk

    I agree. I purchased my 1st BMW in 2003. A BMW Motorcycle by the monkier of F650CS. I then graduated to an F650GS than a 2004 R1100S.

After our love affair with our Beemers, we decided to focus our attention (and empty garage space) on Bimmers.

Bought a 5 year old 2000 /M Roadster with 8k mi. Drove it HARD for 5 years, and then traded it.

Now have a BMW 550i. As fast as the /M.....but with a family in the back seat.

I adore the V8 even more than I loved the S52 /M engine.

  • @deeisugk but with less cats

  • @deeisugk Your comment was featured on Digital Kitchen's trailer for this whole project on their website. :) d-kitchen(dot)com(slash)work(slash)unscripted#

  • I plan to keep my bimmer that long. i also want to trade my honda for a lil E21

  • This is exactly what driving is about. Granted this is for BMW but I think this can really be applied to all cars. Nonetheless, this is why I drive a BMW because you can feel that spirit. In any car you can feel there is one, but to connect with it... well that takes time. You have to connect with your car, and this gentlemen has done that.

  • I Love my BMW its my first car BMW 4 ever

  • I love BMW! :D

  • THE SOUND

  • BMW really gives special feelings. I like what these cars introduce
