@ divick630: I agree wit you. Environment is what makes us adapt to survive. After all we do get tan when exposed to Sun to protect us from it. For us it happens seasonly but if we were exposed to great amount of sunlight all year round we would not loose color at all. If we also take into calculation that with enough time has passed adaptation becomes trait... And to support this even more black people have white palms and soles - parts non exposed to sunlight(!)
Think it would be great if a live Neanderthal can be resurrected through genetic/bio engineering, sure would finally solve the riddle of what these long gone ancients were like. Who knows? Maybe by altering some of their genes may one day help certain skeletal muscular conditions such as Hawking's disease. etc,.
You don't need to go through all that trouble. Simply go to any Nascar tailgating party and you'll find a number of Neanderthals grunting and cooking meat over an open fire.
You don't need to go through all that trouble. Simply go to any Nascar tailgating party and you'll find a number of Neanderthals grunting and cooking meat over an open fire. "" So true, so true ha. Some scientists speculate that the human species is part neanderthal.
WOW really thats amizing, so can we bring back extinct species to life too? i mean can we bring Dinasaurs, like we can clone them? that will be amazing? can any one reply thanks?
well as to answer your question. Anything and everything is possible with science. As a matter a fact random chance + time = our universe, and life. So to say that it is impossible it would be wrong. I think that in the future it would be possible to get the bones of dinosaurs, and give them life through cloning. For example give them human life, or some other animal life. One day human will be able to make life. it just needs time, and study.
recently i read, they are bringing back Neanderthals and dinosaurs, they are sperating DNA molecules from their dead cells and inject them into eggs of their most related species, and implant these embroys in most related species wombs,,bringing back neanderthal is unethical,,,something like this,
I wonder If humans survive 100.000 more years being affected by gases, radiation, and other hazards, will we adopt by obtaining some kind of filter? Or maybe thicker skin. I wonder...
I think the Neanderthals took on skin shades in accordance with their environment just like Humans do today. So those who lived in Europe were probably fair skinned while those living in the Middle east etc, were probably darker skinned.
yea ur probably right. when people watch documentaries they tend to forget that alot if not most info on skin colour or cultural behaviours are infered.
well its not so much hot and cold is the amount of radiation from the sun. in places where there is alot of snow then alough it is cold you are also more likely to get burned because the sun reflects off the snow... did u ever hear the u get more burnt whilst on a boat that walking along he the beach? its because the light refect of the water onto you.
Im not sure, but I think the largest population of Neanderthals was in Europe... So most probably were fair skinned. But beyond that, we dont know very much.
I don't like assuming. Until proven they could be black, brown, pink, creamy, green or any color. They are a different species wiped out by humans from Africa that is somewhat what has happened.
It is not proved, only speculated. It is speculated that Neanderthals had light skin because of their geographic location. For example, hominids living in the deserts/plains of Africa had primarily darker skin as an adaptation. However, this cannot be proved and remains scientific speculation
Well, as I said, mostly speculation. However, it is true that environment does affect the morphological traits of species, even humans. For example, Neanderthals were very short and stalky. Generally this body type would fair better in a colder environment. Opposite true for Africans who are much skinner and sometimes taller. However, it's hard to make comparisons these days because of our lack of genetic variation in our species. But it's possible environment affects skin color.
A short stalky human (like a Neanderthal) would be better equiped for living in a cold enviornment. A tall skinny frame would be better equiped for running in open fields and regulating heat. Light skin would also be burned in heat so it is possible lighter skinned people traveled north. AGAIN, this is just speculation.
"biggest" people maybe, "tallest," no. The reason why people living in the north were -not- tall was to conserve body heat, they reduced the surface area of their skin and increased internal volume to be better at conserving heat. Animals that are albinos lack pigmentation due to a congenital absence of melanin. In humans and other mammals, albinos have white hair, pale skin, and usually pinkish eyes. the Iris is usually discolored and redish to pink. Whites are not albinos.
And why are Eskimos so small. Come on be consistent. You are trying to plug holes in your theory and so its a useless theory. Whites are albinos who moved to northern Europe to escape strong sunlight and persecution. See how Albinos are treated in India and Africa.
albinism is a genetic disorder where the effected animal is lacking the ability to produce melanin... whites, blacks, chinese, cats, alligators.... any animal can be albino.

evolution is unfounded and a hoax.research shows that "ancestors" and recent man existed at the same time, hence defeating its premise. Apart from that, why would four-legged creatures lose body hair and walk on two feet if it made them move less quickly, become less agile...devolution.Wen once accepts evolution, the tendency is to see evrytin4rm that perspex, even letting technology give you conclusions you like!
in our modern societt more and more people are turing to new techologies for information so it is not inconcievable to see people searching youtube for information.
You sound stupid man .. It's not only the speed you're moving at that matters. Maybe they would walk on two legs in order to be able to perform more tasks with their 'front legs' like using tools and hunt more effectively and that mattered more than just running fast.. Evolution is an adaptation to the environment changes and the ways of satisfying one's everyday needs.
Hominins did not evolve into bipedial hind leg locomotors (walk on 2 feet) to allow acess to for our hands(please note they are hands not front legs). Although this is a good inferance. The thumb alowed this to occur in our common ancestor enabeling them to have finner hand movements and hence began to use tools. Humans have taken that a step furthur and are the only species to be able to thread a needle.
actually we are the worst example of evolution. No longer do we imply the natural selection laws as we being to use medicine, abondon primatal rituals such as selective mating, killing infit young. And now instead of evolving we create our own "microclimate" (put on jumpers live in houses). and no we are not observing evolution. evolution occurs over hundreds of thousands of years although micro commuities have been known to change at a farster rate (those included are the fly and molted moth).
Natural selection still exists... Its just that out environment is different...
Selection today means being able to cope with the demands of the modern world. Those of us who are intelligent enough to get better jobs, make more money, have better access to health care etc can uot pace our those who cannot cope.
So this too is a type of selection, and its pretty natural.
its not really nature and nor is it natural selection. by deffinition natural selection is a species having lots of babies (2 many to grow to maturity) and the best suited survive. our own closest examply may be choosin a hotter guy to have ur kids with. its a common mysitfication amoungst sciecntist that human have pritty much removed themselves from this process. but for a species that thinks they are better than others human are the ones stuffing up the planet.
Well, perhaps its not natural in the sense of being directly influenced by the natural world.. But selection as far as I know only refers to the process of adapting to the exisitng environment. Our environment may be man made but its still our environment none the less... And as such, those of us who are better able to cope with this environ, tend to thrive.
Humans of the future will most likely be a species thats more intellgent and better able to survive this man made environment.
People stood on two feet so the could see longer distances... Also, its easier to stay cool if a proprionately smaller area of the body is actually in contact with the ground.
Eveolution makes sense unless people like you start trying to undermine it with such lame attempts.
Although this is an interesting hypothesis it is not acurate. All mammals have their own inbuilt thermostat in the hypothalmus of the brain. Im simple terms when its hot we sweat when it cools down we shiver.
Because we no longer climbed trees the skeliton changed eg: our arms became proportional, our verterbra shifted fwd so we could hold our heads up & the feet became better ajusted to bipedial locomotion increasing ability to hold weight and loosing the ability to grip like hands.
I have heard of many hypothesis regarding why humans became bipedal...
The impotant thing to remember is that there were MANY advantages to being bipedal, and so, those ancestors who were better at walking upright had many advantages. Hence, natural selection favored the bipedal ancestors because of the reason you cited aswell as the temp regulating facotr which was an addded advantage.
actually there arnt that many.the strongest hypothesis is that we first used 4 linbs for locomotion because there was litterally no other way to get around (africa was covered in dense forest)& when the trees retreated we needed to walk further.suposedly it could have saved us enery. although i find this lacking. it's actaully a really bad way 2 get around. we're slow, clumsy, back pain esp preg woman who are still designed 2 walk on all fours as muscles in postion 2 support baby better that way
Well, I watched a recent program on this which claimed that the Human body is ideal for long distance travel.. Perhaps not so much long distance running, but certainly long distance walking and hence tracking.
The efficiency is due to the reason you said, and reasons such as the ability to radiate more heat... Also, walking on two legs wastes less energy as you dont need to use your arms.
the energy differance is only minimal though. i didnt like the theory much. also documentaries on tv are heavily entertainment based and if you hvant had much education in the area you can be tricked into alot of bullshit unfortunatly.
