  • hes basically holding the G as a base note for this song since the real tuning for the song i open G. DGDGBD (from lowest to highest)

thats also the tuning for last goodbye.

  • This is a great cover :)

Actually, I discovered that it's in standard tuning; Jeff Buckley never played in alternate tunings, much to everyones disbelief. I remember Jimmy Page even talking about it, following him around on his Australian tour, and being shocked that he played everything in standard tuning.

    Jeff's brilliant

  • jeff changed tunings on the live at sine album. Im also pretty sure grace and mojopin are played in drop D. He just seems to use it as a low bass note. Amazing guitarist, unbelievable voice.

  • yes he did play alternate tunings, u can see it when he plays certain songs if u watch closely, but its just either drop D or Open G. i think jimmy page was talking about jeff not down tuning to like E flat. coz most bands/singers tune down half a step when they tour coz its easier to sing to

  • that is not true at all. lillac wine, grace are both dropped d when you play them solo and what will you say is in g tuning if im not mistaken. watch the DVD and listen to him tune up and tune down. the rickenbocker he had was ALWAYS kept in that tuning and he uses it for that and last goodbye. Trust me, you can fake it through in standard but when you play it TRUE its in a tuning. However I agree jeff was a GREAT composer, lover you should've come over which is standard is a work of art.

  • Great dude :) just great

  • I actually enjoyed this as much as it pains me to type that.

  • fucking awesome! one thing i didnt like though was the harmonica all the time. but i love this song, its very "powerful" =)

  • Any fan of buckley is tight in my books!! Good performance man, way to get the crowd into it too!

  • Fantastic! Very hard to pull off a Buckley cover considering what a great voice he had and how underrated a guitar player he was. A truly beautiful yet tragic song considering his relationship with his father. Nice voice dude. You did it justice.

  • Great-thanx 4 posting>>>RIP JEFF>> Up high where ANGELS FLY>>I KNOW YOUR STILL JAMMIN**PEACE** SpecialK

  • This is great! Bless you for posting it.

  • amazing, can u send me the chords you used

  • Brilliantly done. One of my top 5 Jeff Buckley songs.

  • thanks !! glad you liked it

  • Fucking god version man !!!
