They should probably leave 3 out of the canon, lord knows they're pushing it if Letty is alive, why not Han as well? Lets say he took a bath in the stuff fire breathers use to protect from burns, or there was a missing 30 seconds that they'd add in to six showing what really happened, or Chuck Norris watched Fast and Furious 3 and he didn't like the bit where Han died, so he gave the film a "look" and it changed what really happened, or he did a Team Rocket and blasted out of sight, who knows.

Remember the quote at the end of fast 5 where Han says he wants to go to Tokyo. fast 6 will most likely have something to do with Han going to Tokyo and how Tokyo drift started.
