@slagerboom because this was for the flight London to Frankfurt. There is no First Class on flights within Europe - just Business and Economy. For the connecting flight to the USA the flight was in First Class.

I have never flown on Lufthansa's First Class service, but I just came back from Frankfurt in their Business Class, and that was very nice. Too many people here do not understand that, say United's domestic First Class (is actually a Business Class rather than a true First Class). Personally, I like Continental's Business First on their 767's as you have a 2-1-2 seat configuration and the center seat, all by itself, is really comfortable.

346 definitely do. Fairly certain the 343's have them now also.

Service in Econ was OK when I last flew them. Free cocktails and glassware with main meal but apart from that it's pretty standard economy food and seat pitch - nothing amazing

@777fsx200 PS stands for Premium Service - it's like an upscale on board product with international style seating flown on select transcon routes (JFK to LAX and SFO only)

Cool video, thanks for posting. We went to Boston via Chicago (from London Heathrow) with United in international Business / domestic First, and it was very comfortable. The new UnitedBusiness seats are amazing, but the cabin service is still a bit iffy - eg on both legs my partner did not get her first choice meal, at one point the crew accused her of being in the wrong cabin (!) when using the Business toilet etc. Their customer relations people did a decent job of apologising though.

Yeah its a shame that US carriers aren't renowned for their quality of service. Our flight on UA was really great. Just 2 crew looking after 6 passengers in First Class. They made us feel extremely well cared for despite the more basic "ingeredients" in what they had to offer us

Is LH's First Class THAT much better than their Business Class product (ie. Food, Service, Seats, Entertainment)? I am flying them to Munich from LAX on their A340-600 (with First on board) and we have an option to upgrade from Biz to First. I've travelled on their Biz Class before and loved it. Needless to say, Lufthansa is my favorite!

Seating wise probably not much better, although more space and completely flat when in the recline position. First really comes into its own with all the extras: Limo service to the aircraft, the First Class lounges, on board fine dining, Van Laack lounge wear, Clarins amenities and the signature red rose. The IFE is exacttly the same. All I would say to you is if you think Business is good, First will put you into another dimension :)

Once you flight business or first....you dont want to get economy ever. !!! At least with Lufthansa people get a great service although the crew can be a bit old. I travelled business and first with some but for me Lufhty, Emirates, Thai and Austrian are the best... (Personal opinion)

What is the regional Business Class from LHR to Frankfurt like? Is it any good. I have to fly with them for 3 hours to Beirut... However, i will be flying from NYC to FRA first :-)

On the whole it's OK but dont expect a bigger seat. Usually it's just the middle seat free. Service is usally pretty good though and with a flight length of 3hrs, you should get a good full service :)

Great video. I live in San Francisco and fly to NYC at least 4x/year and love United's PS Service. Unfortunately, I also fly to Boston 3-4x/year -- even First Class is a pain on UAL's old 757s. Will be at LHR for a stopover on my way to AMS in July.

Yeah our 757 was pretty wrecked - the flock patterns on the bulkheads made it look pretty retro - even tho the PS F product was pretty classy! Will be flying out to Cairo in June with BMI - my first opportunity chance to check out the new *A lounges....
