If you think a VHF's thruster would be faster than cruise speed, you clearly haven't played the Shattered Worlds server, or Freelancer in general. On SW cruise speed is even higher than in the base game, while thrusters only see an improvement on lighter ship classes.

well yeah, I mainly use LF's BECAUSE I DONT NEED TORPEDOS AND A FORAWRD FIRING TURRET TO OWN THEM NOMADS! :)

You should try the Shattered Worlds server. They completely rebalanced ship classes to make all viable to play, and even added some new ones. I prefer a VHF for attacking capital ships and mission bases, but get someone with a good internet connection into one of the lighter ship classes and it's SCARY.

you have to watch this in high quality. It still dont do the graphics any justice, but looks alot better than normal quality.
