  • @1bigmig2 Nice post. I shot a 4 in group at 1000 by doing 360 no scopes!

  • How many centimeters is 1,9 MOA?Sorry for asking this ,but I dont know how to find this, can you give some sites or youtubes videos shownig how I calcule this?Congratulations from Brazil, very very nice shooting videos!!!!!

  • @PATRYCKDELEAL

How many cm is 1.9 MOA depends on the distance that you are shooting. For example at a 100yds 1 MOA is equal to about 1inch(1.047in or 2.66cm). So 1.9 MOA at 100yrds would be equal to 5.05cm(2.66 x 1.9). Here the equation for other distances. You take what 1MOA is in cm(at 100yrds), multiply by the distance in yrds and divide by 100. That will give what 1MOA is equal to at that range.EX. 2.66 (1MOA at 100yrd) x 700yrds (distance to target) / 100=18.62cm

  • @28Ramrod Thank you so much!!!!!!

  • @PATRYCKDELEAL You are welcome. Just curious why did you want to know for those specific amounts?

  • @28Ramrod Here in Brazil we can`t have guns, but knowledge is something that no one government in the world will can take us off!!For now, AIR GUN (.177-.22) are the only type of guns that we have here in Brazil,(not the .25) but there are long political bastards trying to prevent us from owning air guns, any way I LOVE GUNS and the science behind them"INCLUDING THESE CALCULATIONS !!!!!"

  • @PATRYCKDELEAL if you cant buy one, build one. and no iam not telling you to break the law.thats a personal choice.

  • @MrDaajman Thanks!!!!!This is a good Ideia!Have a Happy new year!!!!!

  • @PATRYCKDELEAL look into savage if bolt action they can be pretty much completely stripped, if semi well an ar or ruger 10/22..peace

  • @PATRYCKDELEAL o and happy new years to all.

  • I can shoot a 3" group at 1000 yds with a .223 with no scope....in the wind....at dusk...at a moving target.....I haven't gotten around to calling the record books. I've been too busy practicing on my Xbox in between um...shooting sessions in the woods.... and criticizing everyones videos, styles, comments, guns, shooting techniques... There pretty much isn't a gun on earth I couldn't shoot right out of the box with Wolf ammo at 2000 yds at 1/2 MOA......my mom could vouch for me. She was there.

  • very nice !

  • Fantastic Shot !!!

Thumbs up if you wished he would have shot that damn fly !

  • Im 14 and yesterday i shot a 54 out of 60 at 600 yards with a .25-06. firstt ime at that range

  • What caliber are you shooting? It may have mentioned it and I just missed it. I've just started long range shooting with a .308

  • @matt22us No my friend, it was with my 22 magnun, with my 308 I could rich up to 4 - 5 thousand yards. Last time I made 2 inch group with my 50 cal at 8,900 yards. It was from my city to the next city. Incredible!

  • @TheLafranyie

    You are a fucking retard.

  • i'm pretty much as far left as you can be, and i still love guns..

  • just wondering are you guys in the military??

  • which one gun and caliber you have used in this shooting and also riflescope

    Thanks,

  • @dataykhan If these are the guys Im think they are, they are using a custom rifle built around a Remington 700 action with Nightforce optics chambered for a Rem Ultra Mag wildcatted for a .380 cal. Dont know the bullet weight. Probably around 450 grns. I might be off though. These might not be the guys Im think they are.

  • join the army and become a sniper then brag about your long range shooting

  • thats bull shit

i consistently get - 4 inch groups at 100 metres so it can be done

and i am not alone i shoot with many people who do this so give the guy a break

  • Damn! That took a wile to get to the target. Just goes to show you how far 1,932 yards is!

  • i actually just purchased a remmington 700 police, chambered in .338 lapua and i only have a max of 700 yards to shoot at lol ive been looking for more room but legal issues come into affect :d damn new york lol

  • Mmmmmm....

    Steel.

    Dats good eatin'

  • Just so I understand, the shooter was aiming 109 feet over the target to account for bullet drop?

  • @HauptmannAmerica

Basically... correct. Though in reality they adjust their sights the appropriate amount so that they are still aiming with the reticle centered over the target.

  • i thought you were were full of it until i timed the shot at 3 seconds

  • Nice shooting!! What rifle and scope are you using?

  • I'm not quite sure how liberals and conservatives work

Liberals are against killing animals but for killing babies (abortion) What the heck?

Conservatives are for killing animals but not babies (quite a bit more understandable)

    Therefore I am independent

  • must have a high tech gun....what was he using?

  • I did that with my Red Ryder the other day

  • good shooting mike

  • Comment removed

  • @mikerepmo

LOL I wouldn't worry about it from a mile away. They wouldn't even be able to barely see you

  • @mikerepmo Yeah... You're probably thinking of an RPG-7, those things wouldn't be close to accurate enough, even if you saw the target.

  • @mikerepmo Clearly you're not a sniper if you think you take shots with "RPG's flying at your face" Shoot and move bro...shoot and move. They're not even going to hear the shot before they're doing the kickin' chicken on the ground. By the time they figure out where the shot came from, you're long gone. Sniper at your feet!

  • tom sarvers IBS 1000 yard world record for LG group 1.403 inches, 5 shot group. thats is what i was talking about.

  • @sslc35 nope your wronge best group is Joel Russo 1680 yds 3.806 inchs. 0.44 moa. 5 of april 2008 Thundervalley Precision Rifle Range in Coshocton Ohio. FYI and they interviewed that britt sniper and even he said he got lucky on that one and couldnt do it again .lol even a blind britt finds a nut every once in a while.. Seanpomerinke dig your vids man keep it up

  • @sslc35

April 18th, 2009 Joel Pendergraft of Durham, NC put 10 shots into 3.048" to set a new IBS 1000-yard Heavy Gun World record. Competing at Hawks Ridge, NC, Joel set the record with his big, 300 Ackley Improved HG fitted with an unusual water-cooled 12-twist, 4-groove Krieger barrel.

  • HOLY SH-

  • Good shooting. That is a long range.

  • what kind of rifles are you using?

  • @adrenalinejunkie1100

    Remington 700 300 ultra mag

  • Well done !!

I assume you didn't have the room to get the full 2000 yards.

  • stupid bug.

  • @disturbedone5009 it actually took harrison 9 shots to get on target. Then 3 shots to kill two insurgents and disable a machine gun.

  • 3 second time of flight equals bull shit not 1932 yds

  • @huntinforit

if you shoot a 210gr Berger at 3100 fps with the station pressure at 25.5

then yes that is how fast it gets there

  • @huntinforit Ha you're a n00b!

  • Awesome video! I notice though some liberal must have hit the dislike button!

  • @m1shadow LOL

  • @m1shadow Or someone who'd have been a lot more impressed if it didn't take the guy 4 attempts. . .

  • @Litawyn Wheres your video? lol, just saying....

  • @m1shadow Why would I have a video? I didn't say I could do any better, did I? I simply pointed out a reason why someone might not have given a thumbs up aside from "being a liberal," whatever the hell that means.

  • @Litawyn lol, fair enough

  • @Litawyn When you shoot this far the wind is your biggest enemy.

it only takes a fart to move your bullet feet and not inches. The rifling of the rifle makes the bullet

Move 3 feet at this range even if there was no wind at all. You cant here it in the video but the wind is blowing up to 5mph moving from 11:00 to 2:00

  • @seanpomerinke Wind also does very funny things to a bullet depending on what direction it's coming from. It's called the magnus effect. A 6 O'Clock tailwind will make groups high and slightly right if there was no wind at all, keeping everything else the same. Wind from the left will start to make the groups hit lower.

  • @m1shadow nope not liberals just some people who have bad aim. they put those two buttons awfully close ya know.

  • @m1shadow

What are you talking about? I'm a Liberal and I love fire arms!

  • @darkseed1010 Thats cool! Your 1 in a very few who do.

  • @m1shadow Grow up with your liberal crap. Sheesh.

  • For those not familiar or don't want to do the math, he's making that shot from 1.1 MILES away.

  • @m1shadow FYI, I'm fairly liberal and still a gun owner. The two don't always go hand in hand. I do, however, keep trigger locks on my guns.

  • @m1shadow That's funny, cause my liberal ass probably hit the 'like' button 147 times.

    Don't stereotype.

    Awesome shooting BTW.

  • @ba3cool I give you full props for that!

  • I have a Leupold 8-25 X50mm I would love to match tot he new M700 in 338 Lapua. It is mounted on a 300 win mag atm. 70 more grains would make for a hell of a round at that speed. The last range I fired with that kind of distance was at Ft. Benning and Ft. bragg. All of the civilan ranges nearby are 100 yards which sucks.

  • I have a few questions...Since im starting out on a budget using 308 and the goal 800yds... Ive so far found the new Burris 10x40 elite 3200 tactical...Its now Mildot with Mil Turrets and is made in Japan...Your strong endorsement of the Millet LRS-1 has got me second guessing that decission....If its a 2nd focal plane varible at what power are the mildots calibrated...and lastly.. WHERE IS IT MANUFACTURED?

BTW..What was the MV in fps and weight of the.30cal projectile fired in this video?

  • @rainmechanic The mil dots work on 12 power and are calibrated in half mils on 24 power.

Bushnell owns Millet but I am not sure where its made. The bullet we used in this video was a 208gr Amax at about 3150fps

  • @rainmechanic 10x40? are you completly blind you dont need that much zoom for 800 yards. get a leupold fixed power 10.

  • Very tough shot to make. But you made it.

  • next time zoom out, so we can get a feel for the range! Nice shot

  • zoom out at the end of vid

  • @Coughtry

The Brit sniper killing the guy at 2,707 yards is not a daily occurance. It happened once and the guy fired around 14 shots before making the hits. Still a hell of a shot don't get me wrong. .338 Lapua Mag is an awesome round.

I am currently putting together a .30-06 rifle and plan on using the 208 A-Max. What load are you running to get a 3" group at 1.2K?

  • @Coughtry

Do you know what the WORLD record group is at 1,000 yards?

    answer.................3.048 inches

Now when you tell me that you are holding a 3 inch group at 1200 yards then you need to call and get your name in the record books OR you are bs ing which is what I would put my money on.

  • @seanpomerinke what I was thinking too. O.o (I know only because of a nightforce ad in 2009 in SWAT mag :D )

  • @seanpomerinke that and you wont be setting any world records with a 30-06, dont get me wrong 06 is an excellent hunting cartridge but there are many others out there that are much more accurate.

  • @seanpomerinke wait....who said they're hitting 3 inch groups at 1200 yards? I think they meant 1200 feet

  • @seanpomerinke I never knew that! 3.048 inches at 1000 yds!?! That is amazing! Yea, i have to laugh to when these people on the internet come up w/there bs stories! lol A buddy of mine who is an amazing shooter at his best, was getting 12" groups at 1000, or 18", i honestly forgot what he said, either way, even that at 1000 is impressing to me. Just curious, what grouping do you get at 1000?

  • @seanpomerinke Tom Sarver has entered the ranks of the Immortals. Shooting at the Thunder Valley (Ohio) Range on July 7th, Tom nailed a truly spectacular 1.403″ 5-shot group at 1000 yards. This represents a new IBS Light Gun group-size record that edges Rich DeSimone’s 1.564″, previously thought “untouchable.” What is even more amazing is that the group was centered, producing a 50-score with 5 Xs. That will be a new IBS Score record as well.

  • @seanpomerinke wrrrroooonnnnggggggg. It's 1.32" Lemme know if you want proof, I'll toss you the links to the competition results.

  • @seanpomerinkeTRUE, BUT THE WORLD RECORD IS WITH A 10 SHOT GROUP

  • @seanpomerinke i can make a 3" group at point blank haha very good shooting man i would love to have a go at something like this.

  • @seanpomerinke Actually that record was beat in September by Mathew Kline who shot a 2.815" at 1K.

What caliber are you using? Longest shot i ever made with the .308 was at 1,300 yards with my 700 5r MilSpec, Tactical A4 fiberglass stock with a Schmidt and Bender 10x. I can't imagine shooting much beyond that.

  • @seanpomerinke actually i heard it was 1.5 inches

  • @seanpomerinke I would be more than happy to provide my evidence. Keep in mind I've been doing this since I was five through the training of my grate grandfather and Father; retirees of the armed forces. I will take this shot again if need be. Northern Nevada makes these shots very difficult due to weather. Perfect conditions are needed for even the best shooters. Those who doubt the 338 lapua should do more research. It's the new standard for the military phasing out the 300win mag.

  • @Coughtry the Lapua is in no way "Phasing out" the .300WM. For the most part, the only guys in our military that use the lapua are special forces guys. Tier 1 guys, etc... The .300WM is more of a hopped up version of the current .308 or more specific, 7.62x51 NATO. The Navy has adopted the .300WM for the mk13 mod 1 and just recently, so has the army to replace the M24 SWS. They still use all 3, and will continue to do so.MK 13 Mod 0 is 308, Mod 1 is .300WM and Mod 2 is .338 Lapua.

  • @kilo6490 I agree that the 300wm is an excellent chamber in the right hands. I my self love the 300winmag; but my plinker for long range I use the 30-06spring i an mod Rem700. Keep in mind for those who question my prior claims of my 1K yard groups; my rifle is anything but conventional and I load my own ammo. I personaly feel that the 338Lapua is a much more relyable anti human round for snipers. @ $100 dollar for a box of ammo you won't find many people using this rifle.

  • @kilo6490 To hold to my word I will be needing to wait for weather to warm up and an increase of humidity to take new video feed of a 1.2Kyard shots. I would like to set up multiple cameras so there is no question of editing between the time the shots are taken and when I go to examine the target.

  • @Coughtry your a liar!

  • @Coughtry you means a 338 Lapua or a 338 Magnum?

  • @Coughtry Yeah sure you are bud. Im looking forward to some video footage...

  • @Coughtry canadians now hold the longest range kill before that was a brit then before that carlos hathcock

  • @Coughtry I hope you DIAF.

  • @Coughtry I have a 20" penis. Douche.

  • @Coughtry fucking retard i bet you've never even handled a real gun

  • @Coughtry you sir are a total BULLSHITTING LIAR !!!

  • @Coughtry

    1. The longest kill shot ever recorded was done with a MacMillan TAC 50, chambered in 50 BMG, not in .338 Lapua

    2. It's .338 Lapua, not lepuo

    3. The Brits aren't "nocking them out" at 2000m. A Canadian, Cpl. Robert Furlong, needed three shots to hit his record target at 2400m. His shot was still probably 70% luck.

    4. If you're shooting 3" groups at 1200 yards, you now hold a world record.

    5. seanpomerinke's shooting is nothing short of phenomenal. Give the man the credit he deserves

  • @yugozastava13

I don't normally chime in like this but at least when i do i get my facts straight and know what i'm talking about the longest kill shot ever recorded as you put it was actually made, as Coughtry correctly said with a .338 Lapua Magnum the shot was made through an Accuracy International L115a3 british army sniper rifle by Corporal of Horse Craig Harrison of the Household Cavalry eclipsing Rob Furlongs 2430m shot by 45m so actually us brits ARE knocking 'em out 2475m lol :-)

  • @yugozastava13 Actually, he is right about one thing. Longest shot was made by a Canadian sniper using a TAC-50 until a British sniper used a Accuracy International .338 Lapua to neutralize not only a PKM gunner but his AG and a third shot decommissioned the PKM. Wired did a good article on it.

  • @asherjeremiah that was the "on the books" longest shot. At the time the longest shot was made by a person who will remain nameless who fired a .50 BMG out of an M82A1a at a sentry from two miles just to see if he could hit him. Sure enough the bullet struck home and the sentry lost his head. Today shots are nearing and possibly passing the 3 mile mark.

  • @yugozastava13 you're a tad wrong there on your #1 point. lol

  • try to recorate the 1.5 mile shot hahaha

  • Did I hear a fly in my ear?

  • Great video, this is probably one o the longest shots i have seen on youtube. I was thinking next time you make a really long shot like that you should have a close up target cam; that way you can hear the different sounds

  • @OnTaRgEt16

Ya I plan to next time

  • what rifle?

  • Was the spotter down range or do you guys just like the way radios sound? Nice shot about 700 yards past my best shot. I only have a 7.62x51mm Remington 700. Great vid

  • @Mchermsquatch

Ya I was 1,000 yards down range from the shooter

  • Im sorry. I really Hate correcting fellow shooters and gun owners. but the 300 rum is actually a modified 404 jeffery case, not a 416. A 30-378 will hold more powder that the 300 rum, but the extra powder used to launch the bullet in the 30-378 is 10 % less effective that a 300 rum. I've never heard of a 30-416. A 338-416 (lapua) yes. but not 30-378. I love the RUM. You are an amazing shot! I like watching other RUM owners push the limit. I think your the furthest for maintaining accuracy.

  • @schmaleanator

No dont worry about it and you are right I was mistaken.

I was told by a gun smith it was a 416 but after looking into it you are right on the money. Thank you for the clarification so I am not misleading people.

  • @schmaleanator the 300 rum is loaded to higher pressure too.

  • RUM's Rule!

  • private land or public land shooting ?

  • @shitpickle1128

    Public land

  • Hurr, you could have at least zoomed out.

  • @PSPmaster321

    I know I forgot

I am going to try to do some more shooting this year out that far and will zoom out this time.

  • Cool, looking forward to it! Good shooting though :)

  • Nice shooting. What's the caliber, and target size?

  • @diderr01

30 cal and the target is about 4 feet tall

  • @seanpomerinke I know 30 cal., I read the other comments. I mean cartridge. There are a lot of "30 cal." cartridges out there. Be more specific. 30 carbine? 30-30 winchester? 30x40 Krag 7.5 x 55 swiss? 300 savage? 7.62 x 54R? 30 remington? 307 winchester? 308 Marlin Express? 30 TC? 308 Winchester? 30-06? 300 H&H Mag? 308 Norma Mag? 300 RCM? 300 RSAUM? 300 WSM? 300 WM? 300 Weatherby Mag? 300 RUM? 30-378 weatherby? 7.62x39mm?
  • @diderr01

    LOL 300 ultra mag

  • @diderr01 You forgot the 7.62x25 Tokarev. Now that would be some shooting!

  • sorry bout last comment ment 7.62 by 51 but i never knew bout a .408 thats wicked. whats the muzzle velocity?

  • @burnoutskid

    A 419 gr bullet at 3,000 fps

  • im not sure if a .408 is an existing round. probly thinkin of a 3089 7.62*51

  • @burnoutskid

Ya there is a 408 its a good gun

  • @burnoutskid Yeah. its .408 chey tac (not shure of spelling)

  • @burnoutskid yea there is man the dude on future weapons shoots a target with it at 2400

  • Heckuva dent in that steel plate from 1932 yards!

  • Very nice shot. Is that a .408? Or .338

  • @Joeyjar

    30 cal actually

  • Nice shots

  • Forgot your Unit of Measure in your Atmospheric Pressure caption?

  • @RingSight91

Thats what Station Pressure is........25.55 inHg

  • @seanpomerinke I know it's in inches of Mercury (though I prefer millimeters of Mercury, or even kilopascals). What I'm saying is don't leave it out of the text when everything else has their UoM. With YouTube being [almost] global, one can't assume your viewers even know what in. Hg is, or that 29.9 in. Hg is 1 atm.

  • @RingSight91 True but probably 98 percent of people dont know the difference anyway. Most people want to know about the drop or the wind and very very few people even know everything that effects you bullet drop.

  • @seanpomerinke So, shorter text next time then? lol

  • This makes my soul smile.

  • great vid, but you should have had a target cam! ;)

  • @F35B2009

    I know

I will try to get some better video this year

  • i bet thoes scopes cost more than my house..

  • @ichewtoast111

less then 500 bucks to your door.

  • @seanpomerinke r u kidding?

dam im going to pick one of thoes up

  • Nice shooting! I'll have to look into that Millett LRS-1 scope. How would you rate it compared to a Burris tactical or other moderately priced scope? I need a variable power for real long range shooting. Been making due with a 20x fixed Super Sniper. I can get 1moa groups at 1000 yards with it. 300WSM!

  • I have looked through a Burris and I like the Millett much more. It is my opinion that the LRS-1 is the best bang for the buck.

  • thats awsome what rifle and equipment did you use to make that shot?

  • The rifle that made that shot was a off the shelf Remington 700 300 ultra mag. The only thing different from the stock gun is a muzzle break and a new stock. The only other equipment we used was the Delta IV ballistic program.

  • so i asume the difrent stock was providing room for the barel to be freefloating unlike the factory remington stocks, oh but what optics did you use?

  • That is correct

The factory stock puts slight upward pressure because it gives better over all accuracy at the production line.

The scope is a LRS-1 6x25x56... 35mm tube....140 MOA of vertical elevation adjustment plus a 20 MOA base.

Some people dont like the scope but I have had it for over a year now and it has NEVER let me down. 4 people that have gone shooting with me that used my gun and all 4 bought that scope after using it.

  • ya whats the company of the scope tho? and what do you mean that the factory stocks give beter accuracy than a aftermarket iv heard horror stories about the factory socks afecting accuracy

  • No you misunderstood me.

It gives more consistent accuracy over the production line is what I should have said.

The company that makes my scope is Millett

  • ya so how much do you think i would be in the hole to buy that gun and all the parts and the costomization and gunsmithing that and all the reloading equipment to make my own precision amo? what do you think that would all cost from your own expierience?

  • Depends on how far you want to take it. Price for the gun new cost me about 475.00$. Stock to free float the barrel 390.00$ for the one I bought but you can get one much cheaper. If you want a muzzle break I paid 175.00$ installed. Range finder about 500.00$. PDA with Delta IV ballistic software about 450.00$. Scope I think you can get for about 450.00$ now. If you put a new barrel on add about 800.00$. Reloading equipment probably about 300.00$ after you get your dies and stuff.

  • Total 3540.00 dollars and that includes a new barrel. You could add about 100 to 200 dollars for rings, bases, bipods and stuff like that.

  • wow thats alot i might just look at a cheytak i heard you can buy one for 3500 to 4000 and thats already set to go for 2500 yard shots

  • Well its not 4000 its 12,600 shipped. I cant put the link on youtube but I will send you the link in a message.

  • wow thats not even close to what i heard...lame thats alot of money

  • @triplewhiper yeah because my cheytac in .408 was 13750 shipped.

  • @GamoWhisperVH ya thats a shitload... even for the best out there

it just a very well built bolt gun in a specificaly designed caliber

  • @GamoWhisperVH We need to see a review of tha little gem

  • awesome, thanks!

  • Legit!!!! Looks like the bullet was still stable at impact. What your ballistics program say the velocity was at the target?

  • Only about 980fps

    Far past the Transonic stage

  • What exactly is your rifle? custom? if it is custom, what do you have in it?

  • Well my rifle is not the rifle that shot the steal on this day. The rifle used was a Remington 700 300 ultra mag. Completely off the shelf but for a muzzle break and new stock

  • Awsome shooting, your pushing that gun pretty far, can't wait for a bigger gun to go a little farther, do you see and .375 cheytac or .50 maybe in the future?

  • I am going for the 338 Edge but I dont think I will go much bigger then that. Would like to still go hunting with the rifle

  • great shooting

  • nice

  • ahh hahahaha!! thats my dad! get em boys! awesome! hit em again!!
