I watched Captain pugwash and thought it brilliant. Now the reality of it is plain as is as so much of the BBC stuff its done by privilaged public school boys who have an obvious bias nurtured by their school masters with a similar bent.

Loved Captain Pugwash. It was highly imaginative in a very subtle way, and in hind sight, was quite risque. I make films now, see ironmountainmovies(dot)com and admire the fact that despite the low production values, the producers managed to get over that with clever characters, good, simple, if a little surreal stories and a good imagination.
