  • around $70 billion to make it, thats not alot compared to the way the US spent over $3 trillion in the middle east wars alone.

  • Engineering level: Asian

  • Shit, wrong comment on wrong video. Stupid mobile YouTube. -_-

  • This is probably a light weight model of a car except that it uses the same mechanics as a oversized helicopter toy

  • It would've been done already if Russia and the US were tight allies. Excluding politics it is a great idea and would benefit everyone but the chances of it happening don't seem good.

  • wow thats never gonna fucking happen anytime soon. dood thats like an idea a 7 year old would have. just fucking impossible lol

  • @severuxtrololo

give me 3 reasons to back up your criticism

  • LOL I love how they show us this cool idea but then also tell us why its impossible. :\

  • "capable of withstanding an earthquake up to 7.9" hahaha fail

  • check out my blog, where I have written about this:

    google my attempt at engineering

  • it whould coast less money and it whould be quicky then planes

  • If they make something like this it should be maglev.

Anything less would make it outdated before they even finish it.

  • Don't bother. No short sighted, self-centered, self-absorbed and selfish taxpayer would ever contribute to the 7 billion dollars worth of construction cost, even if it benefits to the economy in the long run.

  • @TheVoiceOfReason93 Well I guess that why the US government has never asked for anyone's permission. Since my country is already spending 40 trillion a year and thats just on black projects. Tens of billions on the iraq war. Tens of billions to the CIA and The NSA. This looks another project they'll prolly get away with.

  • @RetardRoo your name fits you well

  • @screamingdoor haha

  • Andrew Ryan would be proud

  • Yeah, isn't there a major plate that occurs between Alaska and Russia? It's like building a dominos wall on the turntable in a banana bus.

  • Tectonic plates?

  • and this would take not only 70 billion $ but also emotional stress as well as sleeping disorders and years of really really tough insane work.

  • worlds toughest fixes lol.

  • I am not taking the plane anymore if this is built.

  • Only $70 billion? Crap, that's only one-tentth of the $787 billion "stimulus" plan that Obama blew on....basically nothing.

  • what if the tectonic plates shift

  • so whos paying for this???

  • what if a error in the middle in the tunnle, lol they must enter in china or us to work in alaska / russia :D

  • what if there was a BLEVE in there your hear an explosion from both sides of the world !!!

  • haha what if theres a BLEVE !!! KABOOM

  • Id work to construct that. Make like 70 an hour plz

  • it seems good initially, but it would be a disaster waiting to happen,

  • it seems cool but come on...we got planes and boats already why are people so impatient to get the stuff..it's a waste of time to create this

  • @azngotback you missed the part "save trillions " ...?

  • lol yeah...good luck with that.

  • This is stupid in my belief cuz the line is on the ring of fire and the earths plates will move and cause holes and problems

  • We do NOT need Russian natural gas in the US. We have a 200+ year supply of it already. Russia has the EU by the balls over NG. They aren't getting the US, as well. We also do NOT need Chinese "goods" getting to the US any faster than it already does. We need to slow and reverse that flow.

But an undersea tunnel is a cool idea. But not for the examples given in the video.

  • @DocWolph the narrator said "The America's" in other words both North America and South America, not just the US you self centered prick, thinking everything revolves around you Americans....

  • @DeCrypedMonkey Watch the video again. There is NO mention of using this rail line for Mexico and S. America, neither of whom are in need of Russian NG or Chinese "goods". Any mention of the "Americas" is actually meant to mean the US and Canada. Not Mexico and nations South.

BTW, it is you who thinks Americans think the world resolves around us. It's called an inferiority complex.

  • @DeCrypedMonkey

Americans means north americans and south americans, my friend:) not just the US.

  • @nmzanie WOW, Really?! You must not have much of a life. That comment I made was over 4 months ago and for you to reply on something so old tells me that has got to be true.

  • @DeCrypedMonkey

it's on the highest rated comment thing at the top lol i dont go searching for comments to reply to.

  • @nmzanie LOL, okay you got me there nevertheless it's an old comment and this episode has already aired so I guess I should ask is that why are you watching old Discovery Clips?

  • @DeCrypedMonkey Just some people, not all americans.

  • @DeCrypedMonkey Don't mind him, he does not reflect the opinions of all Americans :)

  • @DeCrypedMonkey As the only remaining superpower in the world, stuff does actually revolve around Americans...also the americans would be the ones to fund the tunnel, and would have the most trading with China and Russia via the tunnel.

I just realized your comment is over a year old so u probably dont give a shit

  • thats one nice cow catcher

  • Stuff like this probably already exists without anyone knowing it

  • @mssnor I can't remember it good, but i meen ive seen on Discovery Channel that they are bulding this tunnel now or a shorter version of it.

  • @mssnor i give you buttsex. special prize for you

  • I would love to be part of that !

  • sucks if there is a leak

  • @willowempire

    yeah kinda xD
