great tip went to wally world picked this stuff up and took my dessert rat carnage body which littlerly had both rear body holes cracked and a split from driver side corner all the way across the roof into the passenger side wich rendered the body useless now it is realy strong saved me a few dollars till i can afford a new one
Ok I am getting a team losi micro t an d an extra body. Te extra body is because I have thes little toy cars with guns on them. So I took the guns off and I want to know the best way to put them on the extra body
omfg thats what i do! wow, yesterday i saw the video for this rally car, which is what i was doing! omfg i should just watch all your videos, i end up doing them :P great idea to do all all weak points liek bodt mounts
Hi Jang, I've used the shoe-goo and fibre glass tape many times to keep the CORR truck 'basher' body going. Yep, even shoe-goed the body washers on. It works fantastic, I'd be onto my 4th body by now if I didn't know this repair trick. It does set via solvent evaporation, so make sure the body is away from anything that breaths when drying
I like quik grip or marine grade e5000or e6000 shoe goo is still great stuff just not as easy to work with as the quik grip( which is still as strong)
just a little tip for all you rcers out there! you can get shoe goo at your local skate shop, home depot, ive also seen it at walmart and target. in europe its called amazing goop, same thing just different package!
I bought a Traxxas Slash 4x4 body which had been coated in a linex boot spray like what is used in the back of utes. It has lastes nearly 1 year and no showing signs of wear and some cracking but un coated bodies would last about 3 months. Even the Proline bodies didnt last much longer.
These r great ideas and I use them myself but the only thing that I find with these ideas is that it adds a fair bit of weight to the car,,,So for bashing not usually a problem, something to keep in mind though, when racing. THanks Jang
i really like these how-to vids yang. very professionally done but still very laid back and rambling-esk. even if i dont need the info they are enjoyable to watch

For the people in The Netherlands that can't find shoegoo, go to the Formido,Gamma,Praxis etc. and buy Bison Rubber Repair.

Is that the same as Linex spray?
My Slash 4x4 body has lasted for nearly 1 year of hard bashing. Excellent stuff.
Raptor50aus 10 months ago
