Its shake, and I don't use a grinder because its very easy to grind the herb too fine and get green specs in ur kief. Just preference.

I would argue it is longer than five seconds, allow me to make this comparison:

Oxygen is not very soluble in water, neither is THC. You don't absorb all the oxygen out of a lungful of air in the first 5 seconds because it requires contact time with your alveoli to allow adequate time to diffuse into the blood... which is water based. So this would lead me to believe that THC is also not absorbed as readily as is commonly assumed.

Hey man could you help me out, i pressed my first bit of kief yesterday, i rolled it in celophane then in damp newspaper.

After that i ironed it a little bit, but after i was done i took the kief out and it looked like their was a little layer of celophane on it. It was a little shiny all over the surface. Any ideas

The trichromes in the kief melt and bond together so it adopts the shape of whatever it it made it's conversion from kief to hash into, since you made it in celophane, which is really the best method to do it in, it looks like it's a layer of plastic but it's nothing but THC and Canabinoids molten into shape like a sugar sculpture. That just means you have a very good quality kief hash.

your kief is a bit green, that means you need a finer screen, but there is easier ways to make kief, freeze if grind it soak it in 100% ethanol for 12 hours then evaporate the alcohol, if you do it right and use ethanol and not iso you should get very pure kief
