@ZM7241994 the newer ones(#3 and beyond) are like the elder scrolls game, but in a post nuclear war apocalyptic world. Basically you can do whatever the hell you want. it's open ended. You can complete quests, you can do nothing if you really want, or you can just go around slaughtering and pillaging everything. It's entirely up to you, but it's an amazing game with amazing back story and quite a bit of comedic value. It's also rather dark and gloomy at times. Overall, it's a great kind of game.

@ZM7241994 As far as I know, the older ones are pretty much the same in terms of objectives and story, but at least in fallout 1, you have a time limit to complete the main quest. I'm not sure what happens if you run out of time, though. It's different from the modern fallout games though, in that it's not a first/third person RPG. It's style of gameplay is similar to games like Diablo and Neverwinter Nights. You're given a bird's eye isometric view, and you point and click to move.

i was wandering in the wastelands and some random explosion happened i walked into the area below because it looked like something fell and blow up midair there was slight radiation i didn't stay long and i found 2 alien power cell so is that normal (also it was on a XBox360 and i think the disc is correaped sorry for spelling)

@mattafields Yep it is normal but it will only appears once in your character story. When you find Alien Power Cells there is also a rare Alien Blaster near, It is called Firelance. Check google there is more information about it. And what mean with character story is if you make a new character it will happen again. Hope you can do something with this information. ;)

in case anyones wondering about alien blaster ammo you get 120 when you find it then if you travel to fort independance theres an addictional 120 cells for it in the underground bunker and also if you have Broken steel i found 100 cells in the enclave armoury on the carrier hope this info helps everyone.

Once thats done reload your game and you should have a bunch of quests that pop up and can then be viewed in your pipboy. P.S Broken steel doesn't pop up in your pipboy because it continues the game directly after the final cutscene plays. Hope this helps. :)

Ok heres another way of getting ammo for your alien blaster during the night (BUT IT CAN HAPPEN during the day but its just harder so see it cause of day light) So your just walking through a random area then you see an explosion in the sky you head right below where the explosion happened and there should be about or 10 Clips of the ammo
