This is a double edge sword topic,on one hand its terribleto see what they do to the animals destined for food use BUT one the other hand we as a evolved life became this way from EATING meat to allow our brains to grow and become what we are today. Its a fact that early man began inventing tools and forming societies only after we fed ourselves the needed nutrients to allow our brain to evolve.

PETA is an organization that is against animal cruelty but there are people suffering from eating animal products which is also a form of cruelty that people are doing to theirselves from the lack of knowledge about what to eat.I don't believe that peoples focus should be on not killing what they eat as PETA suggests because as you said plants are alive and must be killed in order to supply nurishment also.People should focus on their health,research to discover exactly what foods benefit most.

Actually it would reduce world hunger - even 10lbs of corn/grain fed to force bred animals only yields about 1lb of flesh so wastes much of the resources....to reduce this some pigs/chickens are kept in cruel tiny cages or crammed areas to reduce exercise so they get fat...

Actually, killing a cow in a factory is WAAAYYY DIFFERENT than "in the ice age". Animals nowadays are extremely abused and tortured. They live in cramped pens where they can barely move, they're pumped with chemicals that give them physical problems, cows are pumped with chemicals to force their bodies to produce way more milk than it should, and their utters puss and bleed into the milk. You need to watch "Earthlings" and educate yourself about animal welfare.

@iAMsoBEAST1 I agree but that doesn't justify killing animals for fur merely to wear and the second point about polyester is a good one and yes it perhaps is worse for the environment but people not wearing fur isn't really going to increase polyester use that much since fur is thankfully much rarer than polyester so although polyester is worse for the environment, its no reason to justify killing animals for fur.
We should stick to non-animal products and overcome the environmental issues.

In modern day, very warm comfortable jackets can be made without the need of killing another living being. If there is a humane and ethical way to keep warm, why chose the way of pain and violence?
I've been hunting since I was 8, though the more I learn the more it doesn't appeal to me. My knowledge is an accumulation from both sides of the isle. I feel for the farmer who knows no other business & just simply wants to provide but I also feel for PETA who knows the truth behind 50% of the industry which has a very dark side. I call it an evolution of ethics. China still eats dogs for food. The USA has ethically evolved to not do this. PETA is just simply evolving faster than the rest.

Lions' intestinal length is short--to allow quick removal of flesh wastes rather than let them rot and decay in the intestines. Humans' digestive systems and teeth most closest resemble apes', who are not meat eaters. Most importantly, today's humans have so many tasty and healthy choices. Killing a life for food and clothing is bloody and unethical.
For the first time, our family is not going to have turkey for Thanksgiving, thanks to my wonderful daughter, son, and husband, who are also on their way to becoming vegetarian. I'm in the process of remodeling my home. Nn the beginning of the project, I had planned on showcasing my leather purses and shoes in my new closet. Now I'm so ashamed of myself for that idea. Those poor animals had died just because I or people like me wanted to have a leather purse and a pair of leather shoes to wear and to show off. I will never decorate my closet windows with animal skins. Instead, I'm going to put lovely stuffed animal toys in my closet when the house is finished.
My dog is one of the best things that could have ever happened to my life--he makes me realize that humans are not the only life on earth. We bought him from a breeder before I had any knowledge about shelter dogs. If they do not get adopted, some of the shelter dogs will be killed due to overpopulation and limited space. How sad, if I am going to have another dog, I will definitely adopt from a shelter.
What do animals have to do with all these products anyway? Does a cat or a dog or a rat or a rabbit or a chimpanzee ask to wear a mascara? Why do they have to give their lives for something humans want?
Human beings are spoiled. It can not get more ridiculous than testing repeatedly on poor rats or rabbits and then killing them just because we want the soap, shampoo, and mascara to be safe and non allergic to us. Furthermore, it is totally not necessary to continue testing when there are hundreds of safe products already on the market, and science and technology have progressed to the point where toxicity and bio-damage in most situations can be ascertained without animal experimentation.
Humans used to hunt animals for food, clothing, and shelter. But today it's totally not necessary to kill, eat, and wear animals while we have so many healthy foods and perfectly functional fabric choices. It's also wrong and selfish to experiment on animals for human health. I can only speak for myself, but if--God Forbid--I got sick and needed medical treatment, I would not want the poor animals to be tested on for my health and life--tit's not right to sacrifice their lives for mine.
I'm so ashamed of myself for eating and wearing animals without realizing that I had no right to take another being's life for my own selfish, unnecessary reasons. Most of the leather sold in the US and Europe comes from cows in India and China, while most meat comes from US factory farms. Animals in each industry suffer immensely. It's quite sad. :(
You guys should make a violent, disturbingly detailed live-action movie that unflinchingly casts humans as a source of food and fashion for more intelligent alien beings. You should show them using the same processes we do, as well as black market stuff like skinning live, conscious animals, etc. Also show the mindless consumer result as well (butcher shop, supermarket, department stores, etc). I live in an area, that if people don't kill deer, coyotes and bears will, and will reproduce, and that means that they will attack children and pets. Despite what you know about veggies, mankind cannot survive on plants alone. The Eskimos rely solely on animals for food and shelter. I know wildlife experts, economists and game wardens; they all disagree with Peta.

the reason animal populations explode some times because their natural habitat is being destroyed and shrink.
in natural conditions when their is a population raise animal expend their territories. but they can't do it when they are surrounded by human habitat. it's our duty to monitor animal populations, and move individuals from over populated areas to places those animals used to be common before humans came along.

I became a vegetarian recently and feel the calmness and peacefulness I have never been able to feel in my life. Flour, beans, nuts, vegetables and fruits are truly magical. Actually, killing a cow in a factory is WAAAYYY DIFFERENT than "in the ice age". Animals nowadays are extremely abused and tortured. They live in cramped pens where they can barely move, they're pumped with chemicals that give them physical problems, cows are pumped with chemicals to force their bodies to produce way more milk than it should, and their utters puss and bleed into the milk. @iAMsoBEAST1 I agree but that doesn't justify killing animals for fur merely to wear and the second point about polyester is a good one and yes it perhaps is worse for the environment but people not wearing fur isn't really going to increase polyester use that much since fur is thankfully much rarer than polyester so although polyester is worse for the environment, its no reason to justify killing animals for fur.
We should stick to non-animal products and overcome the environmental issues.

Lions' intestinal length is short--to allow quick removal of flesh wastes rather than let them rot and decay in the intestines. Humans' digestive systems and teeth most closest resemble apes', who are not meat eaters. Most importantly, today's humans have so many tasty and healthy choices. I'm in the process of remodeling my home. Nn the beginning of the project, I had planned on showcasing my leather purses and shoes in my new closet. Now I'm so ashamed of myself for that idea. It can not get more ridiculous than testing repeatedly on poor rats or rabbits and then killing them just because we want the soap, shampoo, and mascara to be safe and non allergic to us. Not all animals are treated this way though. It's like they see one person doing this and WHAM! they are all animal abusers. I like how the Native Americans do it; if you're going to kill an animal, then make sure you use all of it and give thanks to the earth. Also there are many facilities that use humane treatment when dealing with animals. Peda is just an extreme group that tries to attack those that do not have knowledge in the subject. Do youre research and you'll see the truth.

This is very violent, and very cold-hearted. BUT, what is PETA suppose to do? Look at all the impoverished people that PETA shows clips of in this video. Take away their leather and cloth, and they will likely die by starvation. They will have no money to feed their families. Also, if America thinks the economy is bad now, imagine how much worse it would get by destroying the leather, wool, and reptile-skin industries! This would put numerous clothing stores out of business as well.

everybody think that when the people talk about respect to animals they refer just dogs or cats but no , the cows,the chicken,porks,fishes,shrimp,ducks, locust,they are animals too so you cant say that you love animals or you respesct they if you come to house and eat meat so is stupid the people that comes to church praying for a better life and the first thing that they do comes to their houses is eat meat in morning meat in the afternoon and meat in the night is a contradiction
