Later and older I went to work amongst them and with them. I now have great friends in China. Background information: this is about a Chinese Communist guerilla women troop in early 1930s. The first part of this video is from a movie, and the second part is from a ballet dance. There are no real video footage about this speical troop.

In 1930s, Chinese womens were oppressed heavily, especially in rural area. So, many of them joined communist military force to seek equality.

By then, Repulic of China government (now in Taiwan) although they wanted to help poor farmers (including those women), they could not do too much, because rich people in rural area were their important supportors and those people did not like share their wealth with the poor people.

Communist party by then acted as the enemy of those rich people, and they could easilly get support from poor farmers. That was the major reason why they finally controlled mainland China.
