Emeril Green - Southern Cooked Greens

I would have loved to hear more from the sista about her familys approach to cookin greens, I recognize this is Emerl'is show and I have never heard of cooking them with beer.

Would have been nice if he told us how long to cook 'me...collards can be really tough and bitter...

they wash the greens, also I use turkey wings I am just eating healthier. I loved my moms she uses ham hock and fat back or salt pork.

@thinkinawink1 I've never eaten them with turkey, we always ate them with hamhocks and cornbread!!!

what does it tates like with turkey, please?

@418sadeyes It is soooo good. It smoked you know, so the flavor of the smoke like the hammocks is there. I it is a healthier alternative so I can cook it more often. Try it your body and taste buds will thank you.

@thinkinawink1 Hi, Thanks, I will cook that this week-end..I have never liked Turkey same thing with chicken. I do love KFC, otherwise, I do not know why I never eat turks and chics. Let me ask you, how bout' a turkey leg?

Turkey thighs? For real? Southern Greens its ham hock, bacon, or fatback. There's no Turkey thighs in Southern Greens.
