Ok, so I have a mep code for my Palm. we put an old AT&T sim in it, did the unlock. Said it was unlocked. put the new sim in, and it says it cannot be used with this sim card (it's a Nomi moble card for UK use, but we also tried a T-mobile card with the same result. So, with the new card in we repeated the unlock code. Doesn't unlock. I verified the imei number, and tried it with the AT&T card again.. it says unlocked. Switch back to the nomi card...nada. Any clue what the problem might be?

Now, since the phone is from ATT, then of course they would know what the phone model is, hence charge you with the costs as they deem necessary based on your contract.

Yes, that's a second option in finding the IMEI number. The first one is by typing *#06# on the phone since it's more reliable as there are times the hardwares get switched so the IMEI at the back of the phone may not be the correct one.

Great to hear. Most times you do use code in video, will say it works, but then you enter another sim card, it will not work. I would not suggest it since you can hardlock your phone and it is tougher to unlock (you will need a cable, software etc...)
