British performers do not put on or off their accents when they sing. The act of singing makes it difficult to detect any accent. They only way to really tell is by the choice of words in songs written by Brit's. America is full of dialects of many types from coast to coast but you never hear them when someone sings.. Except maybe in Rap and twangy country songs.
